SPECIAL NOTE
Introducing: Ritual Missions!
. Keep an open eye on your Encyclopedia: by accomplishing some tasks, and fulfilling pre-requisites such as level and fame, you may unlock some Rites!
Be prepared, and receive some surprising rewards. Each Rite unlocked and accomplished will reveal a bit of Atys' history.
Introducing: Mektoub Mounts!
. Enjoy the mektoub mounts. They can be bought at stable boys. Be aware that even if you can make them run, it will exhaust unless you feed them.

WHAT'S NEW
[ M E K T O U B ]
. As a mektoub mount, a mektoub packer has now to be feed. You might want to buy some food from the stable boys, and fill your mektoub's inventory with it. Mektoubs will consume this food when they get hungry. Would your mektoub run out of food, it would decrease his speed. Be careful not loosing sight of it.
[ I N V E N T O R Y ]
. Personal apartments inventory size has been increased from 500 to 2 000.
. Guild building inventory has been increased from 2 000 to 10 000.
BUG FIX
[ M i s c e l l a n e o u s ]
. Some tool tips when browsing skills proposed by trainers have been corrected where needed.
[ I n v e n t o r y ]
. All items from your Mektoub's inventory are now displayed correctly when browsing it at a merchant.
. Fixed some issue when swapping raw mats from a slot inventory to another.
[ I n t e r f a c e ]
. "Advanced Heavy Range Weaponsmith" and "Advanced Range Weaponsmith" titles requirements were not correctly displayed.
. As it seems to not be used, the /whisper chat is removed.
. The Dodge and Parry button were inverted in the textual control Pad.
. Messages sent when leaving or entering a stable area are sent only once.
. The up part of the quest window is now proportionnaly resized for a better readability.
. You should not experience anymore freeze when editing some stanzas.
[ F o r a g i n g & P r o s p e c t i o n ]
. Detailed raw material source name was missing with prospection knowledge 3 for a few weeks.
[ C R A F T I N G ]
. Items given at the character creation were labeled as created by the character, which was not acurate.
. Common items can now be crafted from any kind of materials (Fyros, Tryker...) and not only from Common materials.
[ Q U E S T S ]
. All your active tasks are resetted.
. Some quests are simultaneous tasks. Those tasks may have not been updated as intended when one had been completed and not the other.
. Material types is now taken into account when prospecting for quests.
. Some quests could appear grayed out even if not ended.
[ F I G H T I N G]
. When getting loot for a specific mission, you won't get more items than needed.
. Bandits and other NPC corpses were vanishing to fast once dead, you could not loot them. This is now fixed.
. Specific attacks implying Stamina lost from the target will now work as intended.
Known Bugs:
Chat appears in grey & white. This is a temporary problem and should be fixed soon.

Common items? Does that mean anything things other than medium/living quality?

Bandits and other NPC corpses were vanishing to fast once dead, you could not loot them. This is now fixed.
That's a nice little fix. I can finally get a few more dapper from them...
Specific attacks implying Stamina lost from the target will now work as intended.
Anyone know what attacks induce Stamina loss?
I am shocked that the TPs were not mentioned... hopefully something they forgot to add here... I would have thought that that would be a high priority, fixing all tps... maybe a feature:( so we can't easily move about....
Overall, not a bad patch, added some new content, upgrade apartments/guild halls... To me it just seems like something is missing... range fix maybe... i mean the bulk on launcher ammo is rediculous...

I'm more excited about this patch than any other. The encylopedia is finally here, the reason I am playing this game. I'm a huge story person so this sort of content is what I live for. Of course now the race will be on to see who can unlock the most entires. :)

Uh huh:) Want to team up? Two heads are better than one... then again we could start an event as soon as the servers are up... the more people the merrier and faster:)

I am shocked that the TPs were not mentioned... hopefully something they forgot to add here... I would have thought that that would be a high priority, fixing all tps... maybe a feature:( so we can't easily move about....
the TPs that arent working especially in high lvl areas are supposed to be content-related according to a GM. so this is not a bug i'm afraid and we'll have to wait a while till they work.
i'm most surprised they didnt fix harvesting in the roots, or is this fixed in stealth?

probably won't be fixed... to deter little forage newbies like me to forage q100 mats there:)

I think the best way to handle this is to just go find them on our own and pass the information to each other. From my experience on the test server, two people doing the same rite at the same time won't work very well.

That is just not true and borders on being a crock !
I will grant that statement, if ever made by a GM has merit in a minority of the NON FUNCTIONING teleports. I have taken to chronicling, with screenshots and map locations broken teleports thruout Atys. There is no rhyme nor reason to which ones are broke and which ones function.
Since they locked the thread we had about broken teleports, I have been preparing this stuff to post on my site where the problem can really be shown in it's whole scope.
Teleports with no welcomer, welcomers with no teleport, Kami tickets labeled as Karavan... there are many variations on the problem. Some in remote areas, some in busy areas. There may be a way they can RP some of the broken teleports into the storyline (Like the Kami/Karavan in KoD since thats where the invasion is) but otherwise I dont see why the Karavan allows me access to level 250 teleports and missions but not in lower areas.
Why does ANY Kami give me a teleport ticket ? They know I feel they are a blight on Atys, as are those that follow the ways of the Kami. Still they give me a Pact ticket ?
MOST of the teleports are working, and in my opinion they are just not a big priority in the Dev's list... And truly it is little more than a PITA for us that have to go out of our way to get certain places that for no given reason the Karavan would decide to deny us.

Yes, but how do you know that one is broken as opposed to just not being available for content reasons? If it doesn't give you the option to teleport, you have no way of knowing why.

One of the things I am most curious about is if different levels of fame open up different content. For example if someone had 5 personal fame will they have access to the same stuff I would at 100 personal fame?

And I agree with Raynes, this patch seems awesome. I am excited, especially about the Encyclopedia. Even if there're bugs in the beginning, I am still excited that it exists at all, and that the bugs will befixed eventually. Looking at that patch bug list shows a lot of the things that are fixed that have been brought up by players in the forum. This shows that that devs are reading it (or our awesome GMs are passing it on to them, or ingame support tickies system actually works).
This bit rightly actually get a crack out of me.

Ahem...
So i am a "newb" because i am saying what a GM told me?
I mentioned the teleporters being broken in a ticket i sent in as is my right as customer. In response i got told these were not bugs but CONTENT related. That was the most I got out of him.
If you want to be so ignorant then go ahead and dont believe me. I dont remember who the GM was since it was quite a while ago i ticketed it, and it was on the english server btw.
Either way, the GM is lying or you are WRONG.
And it perfectly makes sense, if you THINK about it:
Teleporters are not working for a long time. Everybody knows it, and they can't be hard to fix since they managed to get other teleporters working. The only possible solution is that they are not a bug but ment to be this way.
Sry for the agressiveness in this post but i feel quite offended by your posts vguerin/DoubleTap.

Actually, that's a probable solution, not the only possible solution :) You could well be right, and equally you could well be wrong - we won't know either way until they either start working, or we have some official info regarding their status.
Let's face it - if they are part of a story or content, they aren't a very big part are they? I lack a ticket for Underway Arch in Zorai, but it doesn't stop me using the portal, nor does it create any mystery or keep me away from the portal to hide things. It just means I have to walk further to use the portal (and I do use the portal...) :)

Like you, I have been playing this game in anticipation of the encyclopedia. But I always assumed that the encyclopedia was an alternate way to progress through the game. I liked this idea because levelling through combat bores me. I'm just not interested in anything that repetitious. Now I'm told that the encyclopedia entries will have pre-requisites including fame and level. By tying together the various tracks of advancement our gameplay options become much more limited. I don't mind fighting to complete a task, mission, or rite. I even enjoy it if it is tied to a story event. But I won't grind through combat levels just to access encyclopedia entries.

look at it this way, this will give you an incentive for training (yah training, not grinding) :)
and not just lvl to be the best most powerful player in the game.

it is stil possible if you are in a team with higher lvl players to help you.
and stuff like this is already added..
for example you cant see lvl 150+ craft missions if you are a lvl 20 crafter.
or, they will never ask you for lvl 220 mats if u are a lvl 100 harvester...

Minimum level restrictions make perfect sense to me.
For instance, Towbridge way Karavan mission giver requires you to be a minimum of level 100 in any skill before he even bothers to show you a list of missions.
Some TP require you to be of a minimum of a certain level in any of the skills before you can purchase a ticket.
Some people in town require your fame to be a certain level before they will talk to you.
Its all related.

Wouldn't it be nice for the NPC to say something cryptic about not being able to offer you missions? I'm not asking for, you are not a strong enough homin, go increase your XXX and come see me again. But something more along the lines of "At this time you are not worthy of completing missions for me." or "Ha, get away from me you traitor!" or anything besides showing me an empty window.

Well I have to say that one Teleport I had submitted a bug report on has been fixed. The Gate Of Obscurity Karavan Teleport used to dump you like 100 meters away from the TP when you ported in. Now when you port in, you arrive next to the TP. So it would appear that the Dev's are not totally ignoring Teleports.

Most of the broken TP's that I have found, in my admittedly limited travels, have been near a spawn spot in an area where some races have limited spawn spots but this spawn spot is the "default for all races" like the Kamis near the PR zoneline spawns, and the ones near zoneline spawn spots, like the Karavan TP at Fyros/Matis zoneline (Matis side).
These DO have a purpose, just not the purpose that you think that they should have.

How about "Homin, you have yet to fully prove your alligance with *insert faction/fame group here*. I can not trust you with such important matters at this time." Seems pretty clear to me why you can't get this mission with this message, you need to impress them with your support of that faction, a few dozen more fame missions MIGHT help, or might not be enough, who know how much it would take for them to trust you?

WOW, they change craft totally now! More mats, but with that = MORE EXP !!! :)
I love my Mount btw, I do rescue rezes from across the border, good stuff!
