Duplicate names

Just wondering if anyone else is worried that someone on american server has your special name and played longer than you , personally i can't imagine me Toad as any other name goes with my guild name and such . this isnt a rant just a concern when i log in Toad will be unnamed and such

yeah,been thinking the same thing here,i play an average of 90 hrs a week (i need to get a life i know:P) so it really will be a kick in the teeth if the name i love oh so much is taken from me:(

What agrivates me is they dicide by the number of hours a person has played, not the length of time a person has been playing the game. I had this name in Beta tesing, but then again all I can do is wait till tomorrow.

You might be suprised. There was quite a well known Jayce during FBT (Leader of The New Empire guild). If the FBT names are still protected then......

Just wait and deal with it if it comes up.

Yeah I do agree, it does seem a little unfair to us folk who have work or study etc..
It's a difficult one really.. I can understand activity being a consideration but I'd of thought it should be how long ago the Toon was used, not how often.. Kinda the same way they're planning to drop inactive Toons.

Oh well.. we'll just have to wait and see, as was said before. ;)

If they did it by age there would be waaaaay more people complaining; imo they decided on the best way of deciding who keeps it. And tbh if anyone has "spriteh" and has played more than me then gratz to them ;)

Hmm.. I've run into a Jayce on the Windermeer server in the last month or two... tried to ask him if he pulled the name off the DragonBall Z TV show.. but he was afk at the time and I have only glimpsed him on after that... never did get my answer.

Oh, and if ANYONE named their character Vareshenkd I will be extremely shocked... I created the name myself and added the initial representation of the phonetic pronunciation of my last name to the end... did I confuse you? Lemme unconfuse myself... my last name is 'Cady,' pronounced 'kaydee,' and initialed as 'kd.' Thus, Vareshen becomes Vareshenkd.

Now, I just hope nobody ELSE created the 'AEGIS Knights' guild.. it took me and my two buddies a while to agree on a name, then another while to come up with one that wasnt taken.

I am a bit worried I dont think mine is that unique. After all it did come to me whilst watching a TV program with someone called Ella in and looking at a mug with a Bee on!

Fingers crossed! I am not a hardcore gamer but I usually play a few hours a night and a big chunk of the weekend.
