Why do these exist?

Looks like trouble walking to me.

DESTROY: The only thing I can think of is the French have a problem with littering or something similar. Why can't I just throw crap I don't want and can't sell on the ground?
Right now it just seems to be a major time sink. (and yes I do realize you don't have to pick everything up, but the quartering screen is a bit laggy and I always end up with several stacks of useless items in inventory every trip back to town to sell.)

FREE: Considering that you can lose all items on your packer if you accidentially click this ("sigh" and yes I know there's a confirmation screen before it actually happens) it makes no sense to me why it's even an option. If you really want to be rid of it just walk to a aggro area and watch it die.

The time they spent implementing these features could have been MUCH better spent on other areas that are now being addressed in patches.
For example is it not strange that you can choose how many things you want to destroy, and yet not how many you give another PC or NPC.

Frankly, I rather it autolooted and auto distributed loot to the players, and leave only the quest items on the corpses. Trying to figure out who's loot it is next in a group is a pain in the butt.

Can you imagine the amount of items that would be lying about the ground if everyone just dropped them? Talk about lag....

yeah, i hope they never put in item dropping, that's one of the most worthless things to put in a game.

just trade it to someone if you don't want something.

Destroying loot can be done while fighting. So you attack a mob, you usually need 1+ min to kill it, if its not way below you. So you have abundant time to destroy loot =)

Just remember to hit the action button twice for it to make it constant.
