yea, vorax would have been my guess too

Yep Vorax would be tops on my list of things to avoid. Nothing like being terrorized by a Vorax and not being able to move.

I was in a group in Wastelands and we got aggroed by a kitin patrol, managed to kill a couple of them before we wiped. So kitin patrols would be another that I try to avoid. Certainly never go out looking to hunt them.

I don't think anybody do the Najabs either, especially in Void. They're mean! Don't go near them. Avoid Void at all cost!

I have killed Najabs in void... 2 high casters and a healer its actually easy to kill them...

Well! I heard if you kill like 10,000 of them, you lose all your nuke level and have to restart at lvl 1!

Gibbais, but for RP reasons.

Everything else gets a whack with anger management tools (weapons or amps :p) now and then.

Zerx, probably because the puller is on the floor for most of the fight due to thier spit.
Kincher, way too much effort for their lvl.

hmm actually i don't like any mob with a spit/spell or extra damage special attack. Nor ones which are fast or have alot of hp, think that leaves a handful of herbivores :)

Bah, Najabs are bad xp. Better go and try the Kinchers around Secret Kami Oasis.

2 high casters? Lol, what is "high" caster then? I think 3 spells taked down 4* purple Great Najab.

Can I interest you in some Stun resist jewells? Max resist 180 though at the mo I think. You only need buy one because the resists don't stack.

Tember
Clan Omnis
Another strunning offer.

Actually kittin patrols are quite fun to fight if you have the right group(s)... fun fun times in wastelands of late "hunting" patrols.

there are only a couple mobs that noone ever wants to hunt for exp

all kitin except Kiban can be good for exp and I have hunted with success
kiban have higher hp, hit hard, and have a spit attack with range

though noone hunts yelks for exp that I know I was constantly slaughtering a yelk boss yesterday for excellent materials

the only herbivore that im sure ive never hunted is bolobi

the mob i hate the most for its unreasonable HP is torbaks, and they really have to fix shockwave so that we can hunt loria it has lots of interesting mobs like hornchers that otherwise ive only seen in the prime roots

From what I've seen any resist jewel adds 25 to your resistance in that type. A jewel can only resist one thing. Having multiple jewels with the same thing does not stack. Your resistance is normally your level - 25 so with all jewels your resistance becomes = to your highest level

Yepyep, I doubt there's supposed to be 30 Rakoos down there though, probably all the great ragus guarding Rakoo somehow got turned into Rakoos themselves. If I remember correctly, there used to be about 30 Ginkins down in Fearing Fens too, instead of one Ginkin with 30 huge gingos like it is now.

Of course!! I like killing bosses.... i've killed bingle and ibakus like 50 times each over the last few days... just for fun, and to make weapons/amps out of mob-only mats to see the results. So even if i've done it before, its always fun, especially when you're with good company. SO yes, Fryx... if I can get on this weeked worth beans, lets get a group together and kill us some ragus. :) (or whatever else! Boss's preferably)

I think those huge gingos have ginkin hp. Based on my experience trying to kill one couple of times.

I beleive youre right about the normal resist lvl being equal to "highest combat branch - 25" (my highest is 162 heal and my normal resist is 137) , the resist lvl given by a jewel is equal to its quality (currently my q 250 Focus set gives me 250 Acid and Fear protection) , a jewel of lower quality than your standard resist will give no benifit (or penalty)

A bit late, but I've hunted Vorax for xp.

Ofcourse, if the water wasn't there to save me, and my healers every time something went wrong this would be a different story :P

I believe that 250 resist with jewels is because of your master title.

I believe that 250 resist with jewels is because of your master title.

As far as I know, the jewels can just "compensate" that -25, that is, the resits cannot be higher than your highest (combat?) level:

x = max(melee, magic .. maybe craft and dig too)
l = x-25 your natural resist
q = jewel qual
r = min(max(q,l), x)

Please correct me if I am wrong :)

I guess that with jewels resistance is equal to your highest lvl (including foraging & crafting). This is based on petej's observation of resist 250. He has forage&jewelry level 250 but highest combat around 160.

petej

Hmmm so -

Base resist lvl = Highest Combat branch -25

Max resist lvl = Jewel quality capped by your highest lvl in ANY branch

lol been trying to upload a screenshot of my A and P windows (without success -having probs compressing the image to a reasonable size without losing the info) , id always thought max resist was purely determined by the jewel quality but then my highest lvl has always been above or equal to the jewels i could craft (or buy).
