I was wondering when the guild trainers that we have a vacant slot for in the guild house along with the guild missions and that are mentioned on page 37 of Instruction booklet that came with my game, are going to be available.
And I was wondering why these things have not been implemented yet, and why they were not available when the product was released?

oh, that's easy enough to answer.

Some devs spilled some cofee on the computer that contained the code, thereby wiping out the entire project.

They sent out a memo about this to all the players, didn't you get it?

stop bothering them with silly game details, what do you think they are, computer code maids? They are developers! they only work on big things! stop bothering me with your silly shadow rendering errors, your silly tryker shockwave magic resist is set wrong (therefore noone levels in the beautiful lakelands), and your broken teleporters, regardless of there far reaching social implications on atys

they said they were spring cleaning and they lied to us again, this ryzom-ring thing will be out before the teleporters work properly

the GMs lie to us saying there Must be something we have to do first

oh wait i know what it is, I have to kill a Goo-Messab first.

They thought they had it all coded, but forgot one small detail in the binary. So, as soon as they add all the 1's in the right order... (lifted from a recent "Dilbert")...

Well i to elaborate on my rather abrupt comment and add more "substance"...

Accusing the people who have been implemented to help us enjoy the game and help us with our questions and problems of lying i think is rediculous. It goes against everything customer service workers strive to achieve.

It has been said in the forums before by Xavier that the teleporters are broken on purpose, which does indicate that in the future players will have to do something to activate them. The GM's weren't lying, accusing them of it is imo is silly.

broken teleports.. as someone far wiser than me explained last nite none of the tp's in portal zones are working ;) can think of lots of gameplay reasons why its like this.. so have to jump on the intentional and not broken bandwagon -)

At what point in time did the gm say that, before or after the rites that came out around the end of the year? My game with instruction book was purchased right at the time of the first release of the game in San Francisco which was right at the time of E3 last year. Now I would never go as far as to say that NeverX (misspelled on purpose) mislead folks with the instruction booklet that came with the game.
Yet, there does appear to be a credibility gap that needs to be shrunk down in size. I am not saying that the customer service folks are not doing the best they can, yet, maybe the folks they report to have some well intentioned motive for being less than candid with the customer service employees (not high on the feeding chain nor pay scale usually). Hopefully the motive is well intentioned and we will all be delitefully suprised and proved wrong that it is not incompetentness or negligence on some important level.

Partly true. The full story would be: None of the altars in the aboveground regions containing a portal to the prime roots or to another zone are working, except if that region also contains a town.

It was said in the Q&A that "The portals to which you currently do not have access are linked to rites which aren't currently on the live version of the game."

Don't worry. We can make them work ourselves when we start writing the game for Nevrax in the Ring. Then everything is our fault & we can't blame the poor, maligned devs anymore.

Just think, not only do we purchase a game with clear descriptions of what's in it but we get to write it as well, while paying monthly subs . Then when it doesn't work, we get to sue ourselves.

Who said; You've never had it so good?

I believe it came out in a Q&A that there are several huge errors in the manual that came with the game. Contradictions in the Lore (Primitive tribes don't aggro unless you do attack them), missing features, features not as discribed (teleport pacts reduce DP) as well as others. Something about a third-party creating the manual, QA failing/non-existent and to reprint the manuals/repackage the game would have been cost-prohibited. I once begrudently said that they created a fancy box and then tried to build the game around it.

The non-functioning/invisible TP's are annoying but you can still get around.

It's still a pretty good game even without these features. The game is evolving. Who knows... maybe one day the Hawkers will have something worth buying.

I went to Best Buy, the big seller of games in store in my area ( San Francisco) Fryes, and Electronic Boutique none of them carry the game anymore.

I am not the only one grumbling, looks like the buyers for the big boys have grumbled in a much more significant way.

My grumbling here is just to stir the drink up a little bit, and maybe if enough vets start grumbling, there will actually be a game online a year from now, and it will be vastly improved.

In fact if the peddle is not stuck to the metal soon I fear that the competition in the game place might not be so complacent and will blow right by this game and come out with the next latest and greatest. You can bet that other game makers have reversed engineered the good things about this game with just enough minor changes to make it legal, and are including it in their next release. The bucks from the market place are just too great.

There is enough of grumbling for that end without intentional flooding of forums.
