Beng Amber. You have got to be kidding me. I can't beleive that have this as part of your intro missions. I read some threads in this forum and went searching for it and can't for the life of me find it.
I am on tryker island. I read that I can find SE of the center village. I went SE all the way to Dingleton and all around for many hours. And guess what, NO BENG AMBER.
Am I reading my map wrong. I am going to the bottom right of the map to go SE. Quite truthfully, at this rate, I won't last till my free trial is over.
Is the whole game as stupid at this Beng Amber? Can someone please help.

Beng amber is exactly what tripped me up as well. I ditched that character for a fighter, zoomed up the levels and am now loving it on the mainland. I returned to the afore mentioned char when i knew enough and am now running both side by side....what fun.

Dont need the missions tho if ya in tyker just look for a karavan welcomer or ambasidor or something like that he/she will port you to mainland.

The missions are only a way to let ya get used to the game play but you can do all this in mainland insted and meet new people and visit new exciting places. You can still lvl out side the towns there on nice little yubos or what ever ya fancy smashing into the dirt LD

You mention that you came back to the char when you knew enough. Well, how about sharing that knowledge. I ask where it is and so far 2 peeps have replied and I still don't know where it is.

You don't have to do all tutorial missions, actually any at all. If it seems frustrating, just ditch that mission. I am not sure about tutorials but you should be able to abandon most missions.

I personally stay away from harvesting missions. They are the most difficult of all themissions:D you really need to be higher lvl harvest to have the knowledge of mat locations as well as the skills (longer range, wider cone...etc..) to do them effectively. Have some fun instead do the kill missions:)

Ignore the missions, this is not WoW. you dont have to do missions to progress.

I would agree that hopping to the mainland asap is a good idea too. the creatures will be tougher but there are plenty of friendly Trykers there to help you out and answer your questions in realtime.

If I remember the description of the harvesting mission correctly, it says that you may find Beng Amber at the the southern end of the tryker island.

I read it, that you may find it everywhere along the southern cliff of the tryker island.

I'm getting old, but I think I found the Beng Amber for the mission directly east of the south western town (can't recall the name at the moment), but you have to search at the cliff.

The beng amber cause me some confusion for a while, but it doesn't seem to be too frustrating. After failing to detect on prospection for a while, put 2 and 2 together, and went to cliffs with a deposit tracking action. Since most mats in the starter island are clustered around the town, the only one my deposit tracked was the beng.

Maybe the question was a bit too vague - i know i first said ??? when i got it, but it's not that hard. And, if there're other players online, u can ask them for directions. I know i've pointed it out to some over the last few days.
