They're already selling dappers on ebay. (

Please tell us that this game will take a strong stance against professional farmers. I left L2 because of this, and thought I found a new home where I would never see this.

companies to take action against every person that violates their EULA (well
except for banning them if they can link the user to an registered account, and
that brings up a whole other can of worms - SWG anyone?).

I'm really not sure of what else they could do to try and thwart this. It costs
money to pursue legal action against someone violating their agreement and
selling "virtual" items for real money. It also costs money for them to try and
trace the user from the auction service they use to a registered account and
take appropriate action. :(

As much as it sucks, how exactly could they do anything about this?

i dont think ebaying will work much on this server, since most stuff is also level based. as well most players are in this game for all the aspects. like myself i am a warrior and a crafter. I fight and then when i need a break i craft so i can make my own weapons. I made 200,000 dappers in 2 days play. Had i know just to do the craft quests in the newbie islands i could of make twice that in the same amount of time.

as well i also believe that a few might buy dappers but nothing like l2 will show up here with the chinese botting.

Anyhow i believe you should just play and have fun, this isnt l2 and wont ever be that heavy on botting so enjoy.

lineage 2 items are level based also, but it's more of a grind for making money. dap here is easy compared to lineage or even ffxi. it's about as easy to be a millionaire here as it is in swg!

LMFAO - 20 dollars for 100k? Please ... let it continue. Anyone stupid enough to pay that for an hour's (TOPS at low lvl) worth of work deserves it.

On a serious note, I agree. While it is pure comedy right now, soon it will not be. Please do what you can to prohibit this action!

They can't stop it because they don't sell the item, they sell the time it took to get the item =/ Arsehole ebayers!!!!

Yes, please don't let

This (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v229/Stellus/ryzom_ebay.jpg)

turn into:

Nevrax should apply for EBay's Intellectual Property protection program.

They can't stop it because they don't sell the item, they sell the time it took to get the item =/ Arsehole ebayers!!!!This argument would have the defendant laughed out of the court room. There is no chance that this excuse would even hold water in court. The idea of selling time is a made up statement and has no legitimacy and is only to rationalize for the seller's wrong doing.

The people who are selling in game currency are making a profit off of copyrighted Intellectual Property in which they do not have permission to do so.
This is considered stealing under the amendment of the Copyright Act of 1976. In 1980 they extended the act to include computer programs as a part of protected works under copyright.

Bleh the guys a DAoC seller. Probably got 2 accounts and gives himself endless starting mats (if they are tradeable i havent even tried... could be a way to prevent abuse by making them non-tradeable if they are now).

They are non tradeable. I reported that little trick during beta. It's really hard to stop the farmers. There are always people willing to spend real money to get ahead.

Well, that's probably not stopping them at all.
All they have to do is to craft with it and sell the products instead.

And dappers are easy when crafting on reduge island.

Let's just say it takes each individual's awareness to boycott such actions.

In that case its a great thing that Ryzom is none of the big players (yet).

Belive me, once WoW and EQ2 are out NO ONE will waste his time on farming dapper as you can bet there are allready 100ds of freaks out there willing to pay $$$$$ for a 50 lvl EQ2 toon with which they can show off 2 weeks after release.

And regarding this I would be more than OK with me to be in a game that stays for years with a small but mature community.
