Today went to forage spot in Elusive Forest and met Lockheart, with which we have, old, mutual hostility, but...
But i have attacked him before, only because of his old guild - Infinity (with which we at war), and only while he was infinity member
I have never attacked Lockheart, after he joined new guild - Kings of Oblivion.
But when i today went to forage spot (was in focus equipment and equiped forage tool), Lockheart attacked me and killed
The earnest entreaty to High Council of "Kings of Oblivion" to comment given case (A position of guild in relation to today's Lockhearts behaviour)

Since this has been brought up time and time again....

You were given a warning about entering a PvP area.
This means you're attackable... by ANYONE... for ANY reason.

If you're tired of having to watch your back, then dig in US or WS. Yes, its harder, but you don't have to worry about the PKing. You'll notice you don't get a big warning of entering a PvP area there.

Anyway, I'm sure i missed some of the points that were brought up again and again regarding diggin in EF and gettin killed. Honestly, if you don't want to get killed, then don't put yourself at risk.

If you're not aware, this is to warn all others players of KoO activities, more accurately some players, always the same, who like to nuke as long as they feel all right of doing that (and the common "you're in PvP area so you'll be PvP-ed" argument should be in their sig since they use them everytime (<== flame ;)) ).

Just by reading those threads here, now i know that Infinity are quite nice, Brithlem and Zryos are great guys to deal with, and now we all know their stance about protecting supreme mats in Roots PvP area : they'll kill you on sight if you're diggin something called supreme mats, then /tell-ing you no to try, then rez you (there is no sarcasm here). Thanks to all the "stupid thread"! period!

I'm sure you'll really love us to declare war against you! this is a kind of excitement some people like : "will i survive", increasing heartbeat, some nervous spasms and the pleasure afterward "i win" :D ---

You should have protection powers on every bar, espieccally if you are going down into a pvp area to dig.

Now, I'm not saying that pvp is ok in every circumstance down there, but if you are going into an area where you can* be killed you will* be killed, so it's best to take every precaution necessary to help you.

Lockheart - sorry to join in but the way I read it is that Kostoprav waltzed into Pr, you kicked the Schweppes out of him, left him to respawn and now want him to own up to being responsible for his own demise?

I agree it was a mistake born of habit, I agree a bit of discussion could have avoided it but I also agree that a guy standing with his pick in his hand is unlikely to be going to forage you. Unless your lucky.

I don't think apologies or recriminations are necessary, just an agreement that encompasses all of your old enemies that you are no longer at war. That way if either guildies attack then blame becomes more apparent. I am sorry that Kostoprav found out the hard way that old habits die hard ( and old enemies).

ok, look at the SS again. Kos has only just equiped his pick when Locky attacked him. In other words, he was holding something other than a pick (and I'm willing to bet it wasn't a crafting tool either). Also the melee bar is up on his screen.

This part is really up to locky to do, not for anyone else to tell her to do. If she wants to harbor old debts, then thats up to her. It IS a PvP zone, so again... you can be attacked by ANYONE for ANY reason. All locky was attempting to do here was to agree that this issue has been delt with. They have both killed each other at different times, so now they wish to simply put it behind them.

few other facts from a bystander point of view, i noted no dialogue before or immediatly after. just 2 nukes on Kosta when he showed up.

ms lockheart was care planning with an OmegaV member so that may influence opinions of their member opinion of the affair.

I made the conscious decision at the time not to intervene/comment/rez due to knowing nothing of the background conflict if any.


And in a far more general sense as i've not expressed a comment on PvP zone attitudes. So it is my opinion that it was made a PvP zone so guilds could sort out wars, that mat supplies could be fought over. I do however take the view that ganking/griefing players just because you can is pointless, generates player rl hostility (as forums can testify too), and generally makes the server a more unpleasent, unwelcoming and distasteful experience. Not really an attitude that encourages causal browsers to play ryzom.

Thread was not whining/complaining, but question to KoO council, to clear up things and avoid unneeded conflicts.
And dont say "another whiners thread" for player which each day looking in PvP zones for Infinity members.
I was killed many times in PvP zones by players with whom we are in war, and never whined about, because we ARE IN WAR, but current situation was unclear, because Infinity member changed guild and we asked for comment from KoO council.

"'PvP zone' is 'Zone without rules'?" (Think a little before answer)

I am very glad that our community is mature enough to handle PvP in a patient and understanding way.

I look forward to the long term implications of PvP in SoR, seeing as it has done nothing but enhance the server atmosphere and create new friendships in the small, but loyal, player-base.

I was afraid for a while that the Prime Roots would degenerate into a battle ground of endless skirmishing between ganker-guilds, but I am happily surprised to see that, this time, it has been done right. PvP in SoR so far has been wholly consistent with the game lore, and has served to bring dynamic and meaningful content to the game.

Thank you so much, Nevarax, for devoting precious development resources to enhancing this important and meaningful part of the game.

in the airport about 10p a min so i thought i would get to the point, yea we all know lock is exactly subtle when it comes to PvP, my advise if u see him SPEED :)

you say that lock never forgives... you may or may not know of the happenings of Audrey.. she killed my brother and he killed her afew times after... there issues where sorted and lock no longer hunts Audrey down in PR... so maybe if Kosto speaks to my brother and says "look sorry about what happened, we where at war then, i dont want us to fight anymore" then lock may choose to not kill him has that ever come to mind ?
