I just started playing Ryzom recently, and have played many other MMORPGS. One annoying thing I noticed right away was that there is no simple way to tell if your guild-mates are online. A simple 'online' icon next to their name on the guild list would be great, or even dimming their name if they are offline... and possibly the ability to right click their name from that same list, to send them a tell, or email, etc..

Another thing I noticed was that there is no way to tell if somebody is online, or where they are, other than attempting to send them a tell or adding them to friends list. It would be very nice to be able to type something like, "/who Bosko" to get specific logistical information on that character, and whether or not they are even online.

Just some thoughts for the Devs... I wasn't sure where to put this.

..that's my point- it shouldn't have to be "annoying as hell" just to see which of your guildies, or anybody, is online.

I can't imagine it being terribly hard to add such a small, simple feature.

EDIT: Ease of communication/organization should be the number one priority for online games, imo. I've tried many of the trial versions of other online games, and stopped playing them, for the simple fact that there was no fast and easy way to communicate and obtain/organize important information.

this feature had been asked by the french comunity some month ago, but we had no aswer on this. I think it is like the else: Nevrax do not have the time and men to work on such non esential features, outpost and co are more important for the future of SoR.

Yes, there should be the online status in guild list.

Like there should be possibility hide tp tickets in inventory.

I think these two are the most wanted small features and nevrax should take time to make them.

I know at least one homin who made the suggestion, but that was a long time ago. Maybe we should remind them a bit...

@Bosko, you can send suggestions by using the support-tab of the game menu.

Did it? I don't remember? Was that during Beta?

It can be a pain to add all your guild members to your friend list, particularly since you can't do it till they ARE online.

The functionality already exists to display if a user is online (that's what the friends list does!). So why not port it across to the guild members list as well? Much more useful than seeing how much money the guild has! Add a /tell icon too. If they have written their code properly (ha!), then adding the functionality to another page should be relatively simple. As long as it's properly tested afterwards!

Ah, that would explain why I don't remember it. You were referring to another Nevrax excuse. :p

The friends list works fine, I don't see why they can't re-use the functionality in the guild list. I'd rather have that than a stupid bouncy run.

Well, even the friend list still is bugged. Sometimes some characters are shown as "offline", but they are definitely online.
It seems the list is not updated correctly when someone enters (and probably leaves, too) the game, who is on your Friendlist.

I remember it on the guild list. It didnt work too good tho so I'm glad they removed it. I'm sure they'll bring it back after they finish some of their other projects
