Hi, I know nothing about the game except the fact that it has pvp. I DLed the trial last night and grinded for a good 5 hours or so and got my fight skill to level 20. But I have one problem. It appears as if nobody plays the game. How many people play this server, and if there are people playing where would a newb like myself go to get situated. I dont see much quests or tutorials or anything. I somehow got out of newb isle by porting to this desert city but i just dont see anybody and dont even know if im playing right!!! and this game has a very nice skill system and im dieing to play but wheres the ppl!

Most of the people are probably in the newly open ancient lands, digging or fighting to build or obstruct the construction of Karavan and Kami temples. If no one answers in region chat, you can /who and /tell to individual players. Most homins are very friendly and helpful (and will probably try to recruit you to their guild).

Matis is also much more populous than Fyros. It seems that way to me, anyway.

Is there enough people for the game to be worth grinding out? How is the PvP? im 25 now and still havent seen anyone.

US eastern
You've got several factors working against you then.
1 - There seem to be a lot less US players.
2 - They mostly seem to be from the 'Karavan' races - Tryker and Matis.
3 - Quite a few people are in the battlefield zones - though not as many as when it started.
That probably accounts for it.

I play on UK time and there are plenty of people around. There are fewer USA players but still a substantial percentage.
The European players play late at the weekend and that is probably a good time to meet people.
PM me in-game and I should be able to put you in contact with others in your time-zone.

pyr is generally pretty empty these days,
most people chill out in dyron and hunt in offlovaks oasis
when/if you join a guild you generally will have alot of help finding people to play with

That's only really true of the slightly higher players. A player of tehbofis's level would get wiped in OO or near Dyron. True about Pyr though, only people I've seen there recently have been on their way back to the Pvp area. :(

Very true, finding teams is a lot easier when you have a group of guildies to drag along with you. ;)
BTW is tehbofis your in-game name?

You should know that this is not a PvP intensive game. You can challenge people to duels, and there are a few areas when you can attack people at will, but for the most part there's not alot of fighting between homins.

there are "Episode 2" currently running which is pure PvP. most PvP hungry ppl are there.
dominant "char" there is lvl 250 _elemental_, anything lower than 250 in _melee_ gets crushed like a bug.
next big thing (will be patched soon, rumor says this month), is global FvF - battle for lands and teleport access basically.
so, correct would be: "Ryzom was not a PvP intensive game, but the end of the year (2005), you will eat, drink and breath PvP non-stop".
