What do you think are the annoying noisy creatues around atys?

I personally hang around Witherling so I have had the pleasure of sharing my land with Kipee.

They are seriously annoying, specially when you are digging around them, those contiuous roaring they do. I myself have died a number of times because I turned down my volume and went Semi Afk while digging, only to have my mine exploded or a aggro killed me because my volume is off.

I just can't stand them next to me, even while hunting. I think I certainly would like them to be muted in the next patch (after all I do not know of any crabs that roar) ;)

Some creatures definitely need the number of times they vocalize reduced. If its just the same roar after roar after roar constantly, it stops being 'ambient' and just gets annoying.

Kippee and Kiban are both high on my list of annoying noises, but ANY of the large herd herbivores get annoying after a while. I just turn off my sound when I have to dig/hunt in those areas.

There's a reason why it was suggested that the herd name for Arana's was "an annoyance of Aranas".:D

kipees by far the most annoying. i've shouted at monitor on several occasions for them to shut up o.o

Homins in combat are very noisy and annoying creatures as well. >_<

Yah, I'd love it if the 'combat sfx' was on a separate volume slider, so that I can make the screaming stop without having to sacrifice the pretty birdsounds and such too. :)

The kipee and kiban are only laughing because they think the way you forage is hilarious :) Such is life; stick some glue resin in your ears, try a zoraï helmet, and if you still can't take it, join them and laugh :D

As I told you in guild chat earlier today, Arana as the most annoying to me. Not only are they loud and obnoxious when I'm digging (GoC) but, they looove to pull aggro critters (usually cutts or jugs) on top of me. Why do they think my little tail, glad in focus gear can protect them?

These are actually several Karavan persons dressed in and animating an Arana outfit (only 2k dapper at your local Void-Mart) that are out to aggro-drag and make your life miserable. Just thought that you should know :p

I really hate the fact that my toon keeps screaming the same scream, all the time, while engaged in melee combat.
Instead, I would love to have specific sounds only for special events - like crit hit, dodge, parry, feint...

Also, I am deeply unhappy with animal curiosity. While early on in the game I loved the fact that yubos used to check what i was doing and occasionally pee on my boots... these days i totally hate that a bunch of shalahs, kipees, wombai aso enjoy placing themselves on top of me while i'm digging. Pretty please greatly reduce the probability of this behavior - it's really really really annoying.

Kitins ( under the guidance of their secret kami overlords ) are the arch enemies of hominkind. It is hardly surprising that even the "non-aggro" varieties will work towards the discomforture and downfall of any true Homin.

Aajolea has the right solution.. kill them if they annoy you, the Kami bleating about balance and harmony is purely a trick to make you easier to kill..

It can get annoying, but most of the time I have the sound turned off anyways. However when I do have it on, it sometimes helps to hear a kincher coming up behind you, giving you at least 2 seconds to try and run. Some mobs such as kipee do get a bit loud. Turning them down a bit sounds like a good idea.

I'm relatively new so I don't mind the creature sounds yet... however, I learned very quickly that I shouldn't have the cat in my lap when kipees are around :)

fear them into aggro (payback) then fear them again when aggro got them (get rid of closeby aggro too then)

2 birds with 1 spell :)

I wouldn't mind toning down all the creature calls, at least in frequency, 1 or 2 times a min.

Add some more other stuff like bird calls instead in the background =D, Since we don't have music and all, I don't mind hearing all the birds in the jungle.

Yup, agreed. The loud calls should (or could) be used as kind of a signal, maybe when the animals are about to move/attack/flee etc., and there might be very minor noises in between, like scratching, rattling, hoof-clicking and the like. Even the grunting of many animals is way too loud as it is now.

Having more ambient sounds might be a nice thing, too, but I think I would mind hearing birds in the desert (the completely misplaced rain effect comes to my mind) ;)

I sometimes wish that too, but you make it sound like it was "normal" in other games...
Sorry, but tell me one MMORPG where you´re able to controll the sounds of sepearte creatures.

BTT: A reduction of the "roar, scream, whatever intervall" would truly be music to my ears :D Have a heart for our ears Devs! ;)

Sorry bout that did not intend for it to sound like that. 8 am is a horrible time for me to try and post anything...only bout 10% coherent at that time of morning. What I ment was Seperate Slider bars for creatures/nature/actions vs them all being lumped into one.

Again it was not my intent to make it sound like it was "normal" in other games.
