Journey from the island - help

Hi all. Total noob question here, so apologies for that. I just started the game about 10 days ago, got through all of the island content and moved to the mainland last night.

I was dropped in the desert region due to my race. Friends that were on the island with me dropped to other regions based on their race.

So my question is: what is the easiest way to get to different regions so I can reach them? I'm assuming there is a way to teleport or something rather than walking through dangerous areas where I'm sure to get rocked at this point. ;-)

Any info you can provide is appreciated.

There are teleporter pacts (tp) that you can get but you do much walk to them first.

Ask in region if anyone is treking and can take you along.

I'm afraid your stuck having to trek (at least the first time around) between the lands. You can buy teleports on the way but you always have to walk somewhere first off.

Treks are very fun though, perhaps you could join a guild and they'll help you.

You cannot teleport to a place until you have visited there and worked out a teleportation pact with a Karavan or Kami Emmisary in the new location. Not as hard as I made it sound. To get there the first time you must travel either on foot or mounted to the new place. You can also acquire new spawn points along the way.

So the best way is to socialize and find some folks that like to trek, or would trek you for payment, or give it a go yourself or with a few other people. Being right togehter is not an option right away, but you will work it out.

in the mean time you can always form a team so that you can still chat. /invite "playername" without the quotes around the palyersname. At least i think that is what it is. Heck once teamed you can even see where they are on your map.

Also, it may take you several shorter treks until you all end up together somehwhere.
