We've added on the ATS (Advanced Test Servers) several gameplay, interface and Ring elements we've been working on lately.
After reading the news and instructions regarding the ATS (http://www.ryzom.com/news/archive/2006/12/01/new-things-to-play-with-and-test), you can post your feedback for these points here.
* The Guild window should display the online status of the guild members.
* The Contact list should display properly the online status of your friends.
* Bloom effect: find more information here (http://www.ryzom.com/development/now-in-test/bloom). In order to have proper tests on the bloom effects please make sure you have the latest graphic drivers of your video card installed.

* A few new haircuts have been added for each race.
* The 1 Hand weapons should hit at their wished speed.
* You can customise your emotes, as explained here (http://www.ryzom.com/development/now-in-test/write-your-own-emotes/).
* The Factions channels are always available to faction aligned homins. You don't have to be PvP tagged anymore to have access to these channels.
* You can receive tells when you are in the AFK state.

Bloom:
Apparently enabling Bloom kills forced antialiasing, on an Nvidia 6600 GT card at least. IMO, bloom doesn't work as well without AA. :o
Hair:
Hairdresser window, as well as the title of the hair preview window, shows the names of the new hairstyles as something like <NotExist:tr_hof_hair_artistic05.sitem>
Male Zoraï hairstyles are graphically odd/buggy...I'll post screenshots soon pointing out the problem areas.

region chat not working
wastelands map wrong. again :p
can't turn off faction chat (suggest adding to the list of tabs you can turn on/off)
city music seems to all be zoari one

Liking what I see so far ^^
some thingies so far:
-The new npc only has French dialogue so far (the restaourer one)
-The ranger camp in almati woods is missing names :P and the portal there isn't activated (pretty sure this something you are aware of and things but heck i put it in anyway)
-The emotes get a funny effect when you use a : in them, I'm not sure it's intended, but I like the effect :D

That is nice to see, though it seems unfair now not to have a Neutral channel for everyone else (it didn't while the faction channels were PVP only).

Maybe it is so that we can make talk commands from emotes like:
> /em whispers : Hello!
Gwillim whispers : Hello!

Hmm, I tried changing colours in spoken text on the live server, which doesn't work. Assume they haven't changed that, though I didn't try it. {break} does work in spoken text though, which I found amusing.

Awesome additions/fixes! :) These seemingly small changes will all have huge, positive impact on my game play and I can't wait to have these functions in-game.

well from my vieww point and in effect Neutrals are again handicapped
Neutrals need a dedicated channel like the kami karavan do. Things can be coordinated between guilds a lot easier if they are kami/kara aligned the neutrals again are caught in tell hell make things easier please
Guild management in this game is a mess to be honest this is the minimum that a "guild manager" window should have
1. player on/off line indicator
2. player last logged in date
Now on to nice to have portion perhaps just to guild officers and above
1. click on a guild members name and see their current highest level in all skills

Great fixes, love it! And the bloom is pretty freakin cool too if you force antialiasing thru your drivers.
Vandie: as much as I agree with your point about neutrals, this patch isn't regarding content so much as fixes to current content and a graphical improvement. Would love to see neutrals getting some more love from the Devs though.

It should be corrected with today's ATS patch (now this is a sneaky bug!).

Neutrals are different. There is no Neutral Alliance, and they're rarely if ever all on the same side of things.

Bloom looks good especially on scenery with the squares slider maxed otherwise its to soft focus like on character models.
Rifle animation doesnt always go off although I havnt managed to find which circumstances effects this.

IIRC when you invite Homins into Ring scenarios, you get to see their highest level range, might be only combat skills though (can't check right now).

Hello :) Just a quick note to inform you that today on the ATS we've added (around 4 pm GMT):
• The ability to set a guild MOTD
The leader and high officers can set it through this command to type in chat: /guildmotd "blablah your message".
• Some improvement of the consumables timers (such as OP flowers)
Consumables (like Outposts' flowers) can be consumed again right after a death. You don't need to wait until the end of the timer of 1 hour before reactivating them. Moreover, the consumables effects don't vanish anymore when logging off.
The "now in test (http://www.ryzom.com/development/now-in-test)" section on the site has been updated accordingly.

Sounds good... any hints regarding when we will be able to see these nice goodies in game? :) you know... there are some... *things* going on, so ... we wonder :D

*Invul still cancels the flower boosts and you have to wait the hour if you use it... Dunno if thats desired or not (seems wrong to me) but just so y'know...

*Not sure if this is already a feature of the new guild online status list as theres never anyone else other than me online to test it on (:p) but... if not, can we have it act like the friends list and open up a tell window to the player you select, please? thx :)

Perhaps this is one of the 'reworked' ideas for Spires, enormously inflated cost for the other faction (the one that doesn't 'own' the spires in the region) ?
Speculation is fun :P

Isnt it about time the TP's all over had an inflated price? Espc as the value of the dapper has dropped loads?

I rather have the economy gets 'fixed' by other moneysinks; it doesn't become as worthless untill you got a couple 150 levels under your belt. Newer players have a harder time coughing up the cash at the early levels; pack animals, new gear that needs to be bought at a way faster pace, apartment, mount, ...
Not all want to get spoiled by freebies and handouts or immediatly join up with a guild for financial (because the guilds have no moneysinks) or material benefits, and I don't think the game intended those in the higher levels to be handing out millions just to 'balance'.
