No, I posted it up over there because the wife tried to log in for 2 hours after the crash last night.. then got up and tried again at 7AM CST this morning for a couple of hours.... So I spent and hour trying to find an active forum for Ryzom, when I did, I posted, to get her off my back to prove I was trying to figure out what was going on. :P

Maybe the server's crashed because everyone had the day off and tried to log at the same time. Ohhhh, I hope this doesn't mean that they're gonna fix my little issue with the "disappearing items". While I wouldn't mind gaining back the ability to dig, (which I lost a few days ago for some reason,) I have been playing enough that my character has risen above his level BEFORE he contracted this..disease.
I hope they don't roll me back and then I lose all my CURRENT stuff.

Usually when the situation has clamed down they tend to post on www.ryzom.com/news about what happened. I'm sure that they will do this.

Its not rocket science people, theyre having some tech difficulties, the game will be backup asap, and, as has happened in the past, they may well credit your billing account a free day of play to reimburse you. Though that was under nevrax.

They do post scheduled maintenence. And the website doesnt usually go down during scheduled patches.

Frankly id prefer them to just get the game backup than to post on the forums something that is blatantly obvious :)

OMG.. I'm going through withdrawls sooo bad that i've gone to browsing Ryzom fan sites just so I can watch the movies and pic's. "LOL". I was playing Ryzom last night when it went down. More frustrating than having the game down is the NOT knowing. If the powers that be could have just posted SOMETHING, ANYTHING.. letting us know what happened it sure would have made it a lot easier the players.

Try turning off auto reconnect in the tab at the top, if u cant see the tab go to the system and type in "showmenu" (no "") then try it.

If that doesnt work have a breif look over this thread (http://www.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9441) may help.

You're not the only one who has had issues with chars etc. they have relocked the servers..

Without saying why u cant get Klients to work i cant help you..

I would only like to know if things are working or not. As I have stated I can't get past the initial log-in screen. Yet, I keep reading posts that servers are back up and people can't log in character to Cho. This leads me to question is my system or is it on the server side. I merely want to enjoy my character and continue to explore, not trade comments.

Bah! Can't get my Klients to work. I unchecked the autoconnect and it still continuously says "invalid loging, try another login". I dind't even see a place to log in! Am I missing something?

Thing is:

Every MMOīs had the same problems. from EvE to WoW.
Some more, some less.
We hereīve been lucky so far with much less of these troubles in the last two years then for example WoW with itīs almost weekly Serverdowns and massive Patch problems. (You probably heard that one about their Chistmass Patch killing a lot of Epic Equipment, donīt you?)
Well, it seems that in some way a rather similar Bug occured in Ryzom.
Sad as it is. It will surely be fixed.

Now the Servers have gone down and nobody is able to tell when they are back on.
Speculation isnīt going to get us anywhere.
Nor are foolish attempts to blame anyone.
Nor are attempts at logging in before any official announcement and then complaining about the Servers not working properly.

They canīt tell us whatīs wong, because they themselves with high probability here, donīt yet know what actually IS wrong.
They are People yīknow. Not demigods that can snap a finger and get everything back to working condition again. They have to find the bug, before killing it ;)

But, wouldnīt this be cool? ;)

Well, they are not. And so, donīt rant, donīt complain and above all donīt PANIK!
Just be patient. :) And watch a movie or something.
Iīm absolutely sure that Gameforge will (hint hint, Gameforge :D) take up the Nevrax politic of reimbursing all of us with a free day, or whatever they come up with.

thats what it says, Like ive said when they have fixed the problem they will say. most people are in the dark. dont try and make yourself extra special. The servers were open very breifly a few people (inc me) got in but many had serious char issues. thats being fixed.

Klients has been, for a very long time. pretty much the only way that you can get up to date info. maybe when GF (france) takes more control that will change. i hope it does, will avoid threads like this. :)

so let me explain:

Most of the "newer" members i was refering to have not been in a situation where the servers have been down for such a long period of time. the "older" members have. thats why they are just sitting tight. If you look back in time when other major crashes happened you will see now "vet" members saying the same things that the current "new" members are saying. its the way it is. i didnt mean anything personal by it. and i am sorry you thought i did.

If i truly had an issue with the whole "impaitence" thing i would just refuse to post.

If having problems with login and password in Klients try going into Plugs config file and deleting your login and password. This should reset it to ask for it when you connect.-Kil
