A long, long time ago, after TS came back to their fathers lands Faa had been called to a secret meeting in Windermeer. Despite feeling reluctant and suspicious, she still went with only two of her officers. They were led to a distant house and when they entered, still blinded by the sun outside, they noticed that most of the blue globes that usually light tryker houses were extinguished.

Near the window a small shade was waiting, their contact.

- Welcome, Faa, said the shade at the window without turning his head. I am happy you and your guild have come back to Trykoth. I am happy you have grown and learned so much about Atys. Learning as much as we can about the other lands keeps our spirits awake, that's fundamental for our tolerant civilisation.

- Still...?

- It doesn't matter who you meet in this room, Faa, smiled the voice. There are so many passions out there, the cloaked arm moved to show the surface. There is still so much greed and pride upon all of the lands... I have to try and balance all of these, and I hope you are one who understands...

The TS officers fidgeted nervously...but Faa had her own ideas and made a step forward.

- Why have you called us here?

- Have you ever read our book of goals (http://www.ryzom.com/game-lore/races/tryker/being-a-tryker), little tryker?

- I have, my lord, since long ago, when we all attained the tryker citizenship.

- Then you may know our generation’s duty is to change the ancient enmity with the blue ones, do you...?

- "Build alliances with the Zoraïs..." murmured Faa looking a bit confused.

- Indeed. I would have loved to have you people with me, mainly now when so many clouds are gathering, mainly now when we prepare a treaty that might jeopardise my own life or my family's.

- We're here to serve the Federation... started Faa; her hand reflexively searching for the dagger at her hip..

- But I cannot keep you here, said the voice gloomily. In as much as I wish, I cannot, my dear friends. You have taken the kami religion.

- Same as the Corsairs, your tribe, same as your wife's family...

- Shh shh, laughed the voice... maybe my tribe... maybe all tryker's true tribe is the Federation...

- I send you away, TS, I send you to develop a diplomatic mission in the Jungle.

The three TS’ers froze on spot... they have just came back from Pyr Academy, each of them had plans in their own lands.

- Fulfil our goal, Faa, strengthen our Zoraï alliances! The voice was not anymore of a small shadow in the window, but of a general who knew how to move his troops.

Silence hung in the air as his speech finished

- Are you exiling us then...hesitated one of the officers.

- No, answered the cloaked voice all of a sudden tired, on the contrary, I am sending some of the best of my people to find us new forces, new support, to be able to continue our life as it is. Because time will come when you will come back, and not alone.

Burdened and sad the three trykers left; a few months later the tryker diplomatic mission in Zoraï has been opened. Plentiful were the parties where gloomy mystics from the North and forceful warriors from the desert have met to taste the merry life the small people can build wherever they go, not few the kitin hunts made to tighten the connections between the TS and their friends.

Zoraï sages closed their eyes upon some of their fellows, who, losing homes from Matis increasing attacks, took refuge among the trykers.

Years have passed. News about Still Wyler's assassination came to the Zoraï embassy darkening their souls, then more news about the Matis subdued tryker guilds trying to take over in their old sunny lands.

In a cold winter morning the embassy's windows were blocked and the doors were locked, a caravan of mektoubs waiting outside. The TS were to come back to their lands together with their exiled zorai and fryos friends. Loria - once again under Matis government - had to be freed.

[OOC: Friday 22 gmt TS will be attacking Loria stronghold, currently held by AA, KA affiliated guild. All friends and opponents welcome.]

Jayce is saddened, yet not surprised to see further Kami attacks in the homelands of his allies.

It is infact the case that the true Karavan Matis and Tryker people are on excellent terms and currently have a very strong relationship.

I call apon my allies & dear friends to aid in the defense of this Tryker, this Karavan held outpost.

I also call apon all you Tryker Kami followers! I ask you to think for yourselves before you listen to the words of your war leaders. Tryker Kami followers fighting Tryker Karavan followers in Tryker homelands no less has to be completly against everything you say you hold so dear.

[OOC: Thanks for the party invite, catch you on the battlefield]

I must concur with Jayce. You are Tryker, and you must live as free Tryker. Free to make your own decisions. Free to choose your own destination. Free to live your life as you see fit.

Free to live without the cloud of oppression hanging over you.

Dear Trykers, you remember the history of how your people have been enslaved by the oppressive Matis. Their unholy alliance with the Karavan and their false goddess have led them to control your peoples and your lands, to send your sons in the front of their armies to die, to send your daughters to their pleasure houses. And if you look across Atys, you will see no place where the beauty is unspoiled by the touch of the Matis Karavan oppressors.

And even now, they continue to manipulate and control your fellow Trykers.

The time, sadly, is to fight. Fight to free your homelands from the Matis Karavan oppressors. Fight to free your sons and your daughters from slavery and oppression. Join Faa and her Team Spirit to free the enslaved Tryker armies from the iron grip of the Matis Karavan.

Fight for your fellow Trykers, so that together, at the end of the day, you may all rejoice together in fellowship free of oppression.

Spriteh thumbs through a copy of the tryker values he has aquired on his travels, stopping to check on a few passages...
"- You must never make a pact or do a mission for the Kamis. They are evil demons and will possess your soul."
"- Build strong and closely knit guilds to spread the word of the Karavan and free the infidels of Kami possession"
"Despite past disputes and misunderstandings, the Matis now respect our freedom of thought and our right to build our society as we feel fit. After all, what really counts is that we share a faith in Jena."
"- The Kamis: They are an evil blight, they try to blow your mind with their magic just to possess you. They ought to be stamped out."

Spriteh places the book down and sighs at the logic of war, then calls to Thian and fetches his amplifiers, ready for the fight.

the past does matter.

No Tryker should ever forgive or forget the massacre of the Tryker refugees by the evil Zorai, or the fact that Zorai were the ones to introduce slavery, despite all the propaganda about the Matis.

The Zorai aspire to be closer to Kami, by displaying the same total lack of care for the value of Homin life. nothing could be further from the Tryker ideal than that.

I met these young Trykers as they set out on their first journeys from the lakes. Their conviction of spirit, willingness to listen and build bridges rather than burn them told me all I needed to know. Faa and I spent many hours talking quietly in the jungle, of the past, of the Kami, the Karavan, our place on Atys.

The founding of Demons Crossroads provided a conduit for homins of all races to come together, the ranks of Team Spirit expanded and a diverse guild grew. The mistrust brought about by the actions of our forefathers slowly melted away as we found common ground.

The past is done, we cannot escape it, but to be forever bound by the actions of those long departed is to stagnate. The values of the Federation can be appreciated by all, the values of the Matis and their rampaging alliance threaten and destroy. They have no desire to change, to adapt to our new life. They spew forth their propaganda, attempting to poison with words, when the words fail we have all seen the consequence, any independent guilds who dare not to join them are pushed aside, conquered, destroyed. They will not be content until they crush all resistance to their rule.

One of the final free Karavan guilds is under attack this very same evening, they have resisted the alliance many years, watched their fellows fall by the wayside, refused as some have done to become puppets with Matis masters.

They will tell you they have your best interests at heart; want nothing but to build relations with the Tryker. Listen to your hearts; see with your own eyes the truth. Atys has to make a stand, you have to make a stand, before the Matis destroy all we hold dear.

Lay aside religous drivel bred by a creed of greed and remember the core Tryker value of freedom and that freedom withers when our outposts are held by vassals of the Matis with no eye for tolerance except in slavery to the Karavan.

- Have you ever read our book of goals (http://www.ryzom.com/game-lore/races/tryker/being-a-tryker), little tryker?

*Riveit reads the news and shakes his head sadly, remembering the friendly young Trykers that he welcomed in Avendale 5 Jena years ago. How could they have fallen so far under the influence of the Kamis? Their minds have been so twisted that they read the Book of Goals, forbidding them to ever take a mission from the Kamis, and use it as a Kamist gospel. Once they swore that Kamists would never to invade the forests and lakes, but now the Kamis have made them believe that the Lagoons of Loria is in the jungle.*

then more news about the Matis subdued tryker guilds trying to take over in their old sunny lands.

*Riveit gets to this part and bursts out laughing! Aeden Artisans, Ballistic Mystix and Guardians of Jena are subdued by the Matis? Pero, Mardock and Kilgoretrout subdued? HAHA! Well maybe Kilgoretrout gets a bit subdued after one of the huge multi-course meals of his? :D*

Trykers of all creeds, guilds and persuasions, stand Tall !! (erhem) and fight with you brothers to free your lands from foreign influence.

Say what you will about us, but Aeden Artisans is one of the oldest and largest Tryker guilds. Our detractors like to call us Matis, apparently their eyes are blinded by Ma-duk. We are Tryker citizens and Tryker to the core. We hold fast to the Karavan values of our Tryker forefathers.

Of course not. You wish to be independent from their rule, from their control. You are the enemy in their eyes, no matter whether you worship the same as they do.

They believe their ways are the only true ways, therefore anything else must be false and must be destroyed. They only care about themselves. Anyone else is either a tool to use as they see fit, or an infestation to eradicate.

A wise homin once wrote something along the lines of, "Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it again." We must remember the things that happened in the past to make sure they never happen again, while at the same time looking forward to the future and new things to come.

Unfotunately, the values that the Tryker civilisation holds so very dear means absolutely nothing to the Matis. The looming attack on your outpost shows this so very clearly: even your faith means nothing to them unless they control you. Even the timing of the attack is significant: during the middle of the fight over Loria Stronghold, they would rather divide their forces and try to attack you as well, leaving their Tryker "friends" to fend for themselves in battle.

This is not a call to ally yourself with the Kami or their mysterious ways. This is not even a call to abandon the Karavan and their mysterious ways, either. This is a call to stand for freedom from Matis oppression.

Beware your would-be Matis overlords. They would sooner laugh with you, party with you, and fill you with intoxicating beverages, before filling your mind with lies, with the words you so dearly want to believe are true.

By that time, it is too late. The only escape will be death at their hands, as my parents sadly realized upon uncovering the web of lies woven by the Matis.

What does it mean to be a Tryker? One of the values they have taught me is: "Freedom: Consider all homins responsible and free of their acts. Any homin violating the freedom of another will be in breach of the Homin Rights Act, which as it happens, was first drawn up by the Tryker Council."

The Matis Karavans are in clear violation of the Homin Rights Act. And they flaunt this in the forest, the lakes, the jungle, and the desert, believing themselves to be immune from repercussions.

The Burning Desert is a hot and unforgiving place. If the kitins were not trying to eat you, the sun was endeavouring to cook you. It was a harsh land, with a harsh life, but the inhabitants, the Fyros, have learned to survive. Before, long ago, the suns merciless beating would have been unbearable, but now, when it is at its worst, the merely retreat into the many bars and taverns that dot the main cities.

And Pyr was no exception. Main city of the Fyros, it houses an impressive number of bars, with many fyros favouring one over the other. One particular bar was favoured by one particular fyros, who would spend many a time sitting enjoying the finest firewine the bar has to offer. And today, like many other days, he sits in his favourite chair by the fire, staring at it and sipping away at his drink. At first glance, nothing there seemed untoward about this fyros, he seemed like all the other patrons, but indeed, there was something different about him. From the way he sat to the way he seemed to notice all who came in without turning his head, it was clear for all who could see, that this was a warrior of note.

And indeed, he was able to see the tryker as he entered long before the tryker saw him, a wry smile curling at the edge of his lips as he watch the lake lands dweller motion for the barmaid as he headed for the fyros’ table. Without introductions, the tryker sat down and watched the bar maid come over. The fyros did not move.

“Well, sir, what would you like?” she asked as she reached the tryker.
“Well, I would like a…” began the tryker, but the fyros cut him off, reciting from memory the tryker’s favourite poison. Scribbling the order down, the barmaid turned and left, and then the tryker turned to the fyros, smiling wryly.

“Fancy a Kami remembering the order of a Karavan.” The fyros finally turned round.
“We may worship different gods, Riveit, but we still remain friends, eh?” Riveit smiled, nodding slightly in agreement.
“That be true, Sun Ce.”
“So, what brings you here?” The smile faded from Riveit’s face.
“I am sure you have heard.” The fyros nodded.
“Team Spirit have moved against you.” Riveit nodded curtly.
“Yes, they have declared their intentions on our outpost in Loria. I am here marshalling support for the defence of what is ours.” The fyros turned back to the fire, raising his firewine to his lips. A brief silence followed.
“Well?” Sun Ce turned back.
“Well what?”
“Will you help us defend it?” The fyros leaned forward.
“Me?” Riveit nodded.
“Yes, you and all who you command.” Sun Ce smiled.
“Ah, but I am a Kami, as are Team Spirit, and…”
“And you are no longer in the Kami Alliance, but are mercenaries now.” finished Riveit smugly. The fyros raised an eyebrow. Just then, the barmaid returned with Riveit’s drink.
“Thank you.” He said to her, as he paid her. Smiling, she took the money and returned to the bar.

“Not quite, not all of us are mercenaries.” The fyros said finally, as she was out of earshot. Riveit shrugged.
“Maybe not all, but some.” Sun Ce smiled, nodding slowly.
“Naturally, I do not intend for you to fight for free, even though we happen to be friends…” The fyros smirked at this. “…so I am willing to hire you for this battle. What say you?” Before answering, Riveit’s companion downed the last of his firewine, then looked straight at the tryker.
“You have yourself a deal Riveit.” He replied finally, smiling broadly. Riveit smiled in return.
“Good! I will await your numbers in Winds of Muse, then we will march in the defence of our outpost. Till then, take care.” With that, he rose.
“You do now want your drink?” Riveit looked down at it.
“You finish it.”
“Heh, too weak for me.” Smiling wryly, Riveit turned and left as his companion returned his gaze to the fire. No sooner had he left than a tall zorai step out of the shadows and sit in the seat he had just left.
“Do you really intend to take this job?”
“Of course! You do not sound too keen.” The zorai moved to speak.
“You knew what you were getting yourself in for when you left to join me, little side-kick, so buck up.” The zorai smiled wryly behind his mask.
“Ah, what the heck, what can possibly go wrong eh?” The fyros turned to stare at him, smiling.
“I bet you the Alliance will not like this one bit.” Sun Ce smirked, a mischevious glint in his eye.
“Short of Ministry of Mayhem and Omega V, we have no treaty with anybody.” Then looked down at the drink.
“You want that?” The zorai looked down at the drink.
“Heck no! Too strong for my blood.” Throwing his head back in raucous laughter, he reached for the jug and proceeded to down the contents without pause.

Love and trust in Our Lady Jena, adherence with her revealed wisdom, is not subservience to the Karavan and certainly not to the Matis.

Unfortunatly as a people we are, Riveit. The tennants of our forefather's faith you so proudly cited, are nothing more than the consessions we made not to long ago under the weakling Beadly Nimby with the Matis army in our backyard and with the Karavan's appproval, to keep us in check.

Our true identity and reverence of our Mother-godess has been waning for decades now, as we are being culturally annexed by the Matis, while in the meantime these alien self-proclaimed prophets have done nothing but kept us on a leash since the Great Swarming. If the tales about magnificent Jeniah, at the peak of our culture were even half true, then truely we were free and prosperous Trykers. But no longer do we hold that splendor, instead we have been subdued, kept short of what we once had, patronized as toddlers, pressed into slavery and forgotten who we once were, the Mother-godess' favored children.

I think it's about time we start remembering who we were and what we could become again, that we can feel proud and understand what it means to be a Tryker again, despite our differences in interpretations, instead of being the pawns of Matis, Fyros, Zoraï, demons or overlords alike.

A Tryker forgives, but never forgets.

I too wistfully ponder the past glories of Trykoth, Kyerna. However, we live in a dangerous and precarious era. Just a Jena century ago, Fyros miners searching for lost Dragon technology set the whole Fyros lands ablaze. Was it a vein of Dragon fire they found? Fifty some Jena years ago, Fyros miners, in their interminable quest for Dragon technology, ignited the Great Swarming, destroying much of our past glory. Our world is a precarious one. The only path to the salvation of our peoples is to embrace the Karavan, bath in the love of Jena, and accept her lifting us off Atys when Dragon fire consumes all. I can not blame the Karavan for not trusting us with more powerful technology. For I know, and I think you will admit as well, that Kamist homins would turn that technology against the Karavan themselves in the blink of an eye. Or consider, given the record I mentioned, would it be responsible of the Karavan to give powerful digging technology to Fyros miners?

Faa made a sign to the bartender to bring her the addition with a sadly amused smile. "So that much were the Karavans trusting their Karavaneers, as to leave them without knowledge in time of war for fear they would give that technology to the kamists.... Even beeing her opponents, their spilled blood should have been rewarded with more trust by the tall cloaked aliens".

She slightly shook her head while going to the stables to take her mount. At Avendale her friends were waiting for her to tell them a battle doesn't mean the war...

Sitting on the other side of the bar, Riveit chokes on his dark Windermeer Ale. Coughing and sputtering, he tries to take in the news. A supposedly Tryker guild has just given away one of the crown jewels of the Lakelands, Whirling Stronghold, to a Kamist Fyrosian guild? The same Fyrosian guild that we all scrambled to keep out of the Lakelands those many Jena years ago. The same "Tryker" guild that raised the banner to Tryker freedom to kick out a fellow Karavan guild and later a Tryker guild? Riveit starts laughing and just can't stop. Faa just declared war to keep the "Matis government", disguised as Aeden Artisans, out of the Lakelands - a laughably assertion by the way. Will she now fight to drive out the Fyrosians in the Lakelands? What about all those Tryker patriots that fought so long and hard to drive out the Matisians? Will they rise up to push out the more foreign Fyrosians? :D

Which just proves what we knew along- Concern over feeing the lakelands of "Matis oppression" is pure lies and deceit to feed their own greed. I'm sure Ma-Duk is proud of their treachery, always was his way.

---As I over hear a convo about Loria stronghold, I shake my head sadly and continue to drink..."How things have changed..." I say as I whipe the alliance emblem from my arm...

"Yep, They sure have." Riviet says as he cleans himself up.

"Let me buy you another drink Riv." I say with a smile, And make a sign to the bar keep.

Another Matis walks in. He's dressed in red zorai light and has a large leather bound tome of "zorai pictograms research" hanging from his belt.

- Free drinks for everybody! It's on me guys :) I just sold another MA so ain't that reason enough to celebrate, eh?

- Oh my good old friends Riv and Red are here ;) - shouts the matis as he waves to Riveit and walks up to Redslaers table, pulls a chair and thumps Redslayer's shoulder...

---but most people in the bar understand that this is just another dirty matis Public Relations trick and they keep staring into their ale in silence---

Day order fallen from a mektoub's saddle...

"The Fyros division "the Soul" will march upon Whirlwing Outpost in Loria to increase the security on the border and check the water resources from Loria Ponds Reasearch Center that has been reported to be a matis spynet objective.
The "Nexus" division will be retreating for the time being to our Flaming Forest garrison to rest and rebuild their numbers heavily affected after the last clashes.
All kami units will be on alert and ready to give help and reinforcement for the two major military groups in the movement. Civilian population (of any religion) that need to pass through these areas will not be evacuated but on the contrary encouraged to continue their activities and maintain a normal commerce area...."

Downing his fourth Windermeer Ale and perhaps getting too boisterous, Riveit turns to Redslayer and remarks, "You know, I have to sort of admire those Tryker Kamists entrenched in Woodburn Stronghold now. Several of the largest battles on Atys were fought there when we Trykers and then Matis tried to storm that place. We failed but now Trykers control the vedice supply anyway. Where brute force failed, other methods have succeeded! A toast to Tryker ingenuity!" The homins at the raise their glasses and down their drinks. Glancing at Redslayer, who is sweating profusely in the summer heat, Riveit adds, "We Trykers have nothing to worry about, Fyros can't take the humidity here." :D

"We Trykers have nothing to worry about, Fyros can't take the humidity here." I then hear Riv say.

"Bah, Trykers." I say with a laugh.

"You know you love us!" Riv says with a drunken smile.

"That doesn't mean that you don't annoy me sometimes." I say as I watch Riv stumble a bit.

"Trykers are crazy." I Komi says.

"Maybe thats why I like em." I say. Komi just laughs, then Riv falls on his face, and everyone in the bar starts laughing...

"Nice one Riv." I say.

"Oh shut up Red, Id like to see you walk! You've been here just as long as me." Riv says as he tries to sit up.

"No problem." I say as I stand up and take a step... then fall right on top of Riv. "Well atleast you broke my fall, thanks." I say laughing.

"Wow, good job Red." Komi says laughing.

"Yeah...No problem Red." Riv says and starts laughing... Then we both jst sit in the floor laughing.

“You have to be careful when dealing with some Trykers,” an old Fyros trader was explaining to the younger Fyros seated next to him.

“What do you mean?” the younger one asked with the casual disinterested that conveyed the idea that he was much more interested in what he was drinking.

Unaffected, the elder homin continued, “Well, you know the Tryker guild that calls themselves Nexus? The same bunch who have loudly been proclaiming that the Lakelands are for the Tryker…or some such?
“Well, it would seem that they drove another Tryker guild, The Guardians of Jena, I think, from the outpost in Loria.”

“Good for them,” said the younger one, motioning the bartender to refill his mug, “The more Karavaneers get harassed, the better.”

“Quite,” replied the trader, “but Nexus is, or at least was, devoted to the Karavan. It seems their religious loyalties change as easily as their racial ones.”

“Perhaps they simply want an easy route to power,” the younger Fyros said.

“Well, obviously,” said the elder, “And have you heard the latest news? Those old Fyros stalwarts, The Soul? You know, the ones who control the Vedice supply? Well, it seems Nexus allowed them to march in and take the Whirling outpost in Loria. In exchange, Nexus moved into Flaming Forest, and now controls the Vedice Sap.”

The young homin put down his mug, and looked incredulously at the Fyros next to him. “You mean The Soul traded their nearly unassailable position in the Flaming Forest for an untenable and less valuable spot in the Lakelands? The Guardians of Jena will want the outpost back. I have seen Whirling; it is a hard spot to defend. Are The Soul really counting on the loyalty of a guild who has proven their deceit in the past?”

“Now you understand,” the trader said, sagely, “It would seem this is the first strike in a wider Tryker campaign. The Soul has been baited out of their stronghold in the desert, and they will be at a disadvantage when the Guardians of Jena attempt to take Loria back.
“And should The Soul loose? Do you honestly believe that Nexus will magnanimously surrender the Vedice sap? I am telling you, this was a planned move. The Tryker are invading the desert, and The Soul has been set up for a fall.”

“Wretched Trykers,” the younger Fyros said after finishing the contents of his mug.

“You have to be careful when dealing with some Trykers,” an old Fyros trader was explaining to the younger Fyros seated next to him.

We can all make up lies, want to back up your claim that the tryker are now somehow evil because some of them want to be free from the karavan alliance's leadership?

“Well, obviously,” said the elder, “And have you heard the latest news? Those old Fyros stalwarts, The Soul? You know, the ones who control the Vedice supply? Well, it seems Nexus allowed them to march in and take the Whirling outpost in Loria. In exchange, Nexus moved into Flaming Forest, and now controls the Vedice Sap."

Tell me, whats wrong with that? Let me guess the karavan have never done this? I dont think its a good tactic, but if you expect the kami to lie down while all our outposts are taken you are very much mistaken, the day the CSR tell us we are not allowed to do it, then we will stop.

"The Tryker are invading the desert, and The Soul has been set up for a fall.”

first off LOL, oh my god, a tryker guild have an outpost in the desert how can they! Thats outragous! Oh wait, matis guilds own two Q250 outposts in the jungle, they own one Q250 outpost in the desert, get a grip.

-Of course not, and I know exactly why.

*Second Tryker takes out citizenship papers and reads a small passage from "Being a Tryker"
- Right here, ahem "Fyros: The Fyros were once allies who exploited our need for protection by having us supply Fyros towns with merchandise at low cost. Since we've learnt to fight for ourselves we no longer need the patronizing Fyros protectors, especially with the new feeling of fraternity with the Matis."

It seems we all care a little bit too much on what started the lore, who did what to who, a long long time ago, and what the situation was back then. Isn't this meant to be an evolving planet, with us homins carrying on the storyline ourselves. Making new alliances, new rules and new ways to live our lives in this beautifal place.

Take your head out of the past, if you continue to always look back, there will never be a way forward. This is our planet now, and what happened back then should probably stay, back then.

I truly don't see the need for the karavan to be on their high horse about any of this. Saying 'oh please stop harassing' us, you evil, evil kami. When we all know full and well, if the shoe was on the other foot (and it has been) the karavan has done the exact same thing, in the exact same way. In fact it may have been the karavan (while I was one) who started it. Accusations of underhanded tactics, cheating, being generally a pain in the ass, is hypocrisy in it's highest form IMHO. It's very easy to play the picked upon when you own so much and have no need of offensive tactics. So lets stop this sort of talk right here, it's just nonsense and you well know it (Mrshad).

“Wretched Trykers,” the younger Fyros said after finishing the contents of his mug.

Leaving his chair with difficulty the old fyrosian left the room and almost limping climbed down the dark stairs of the bar...
- Good job, my friend, grinned a tall figure uncloaking for the moment while searching under her clothes.
It was a slender, pale lady on whose hips long battle knives were resting in two of those special sheathes that made the poison dropping bath the blade back.
The old homin shuddered but still stretched a trembling hand to receive the purse.

"Poor ham" she murmured while leaving through the back door, "but maybe some will belive him nevertheless.."

Leaving the loud noise of the bar behind, Riveit staggers out into the sultry night air. By clutching the railing every few steps he manages to make his way to the beach without falling in the lake. At last, he arrives at the teleporter and fumbles through his tickets. So many tickets! They all look the same. Ahh! Here is the Fairhaven ticket. He uses the ticket and arrives in at this destination. This is odd. Why is Fairhaven so dark? It must be cloudy tonight. Riveit stumbles forward toward his apartment. Who put these three great vorax in Fairhaven? Aaaahhhhrrrrgggggggg........

"Riveit, are you alright?" the voice is bubbly with laughter. "Look, his helm is on backwards," she laughs, "I think he is snockered."
The taller trykerette in the matching hat responds with a mischievous smile, "Let's strip him nude and cover him with honey! The yubos would like that!"
"Kiwi! Oh, my Lady Jena! You're horrid!"
"Like you weren't thinking something along the same line of thought?!"
Laughter escapes Pipp as her cheeks redden and her words tumble out, "Well, naked, yes, but thrown to Yubos? I was thinking of tossing him into Faa's apartment...
Kiwi giggles as she pictures it in her mind. "And some flowers... and a card!"
"Oh, look, he turned his helm about so now he can see..."
A fear laden cry upsets the calmness of the docks.
"Vorax! VORAX! Aaahhhrrrggggggg......."
With wide eyes Pip and Kiwi look down the beach in the direction Riveit had pointed just before collapsing.
Walking slowly towards them are three foul beast smelling of blood, smelling of ichor, smelling of yubo chili.
"What in all of Atys is going on here?" Pero demands as he leads his two packers nearer.
In mock candor Pipp replies, "You're a vorax and Riveit is drunk. Isn't it quite obvious?"
Pero peers down at his unconscious friend. "Help me get him on his feet, pick up his dropped tickets, and..."
"We already did our good deed for the evening!" Kiwi squeals.
"Oh?"
"Mr. Trout was a bit under the weather..."
"He was soused!"
"Ok, soused." A giggle. "And we..."
"And we took him to the lady's hairstylist..."
"We were going to just have his hair tinted..."
"Just tinted..."
"But she got carried away."
"Yeah. SHE got carried away."
"So many folks celebrating. So many inebriated souls wandering about. We best hurry. I am sure I saw Jayce leaning over a hitching rail. He may need our attention. You see to Riveit while Kiwi and I tend to Jayce."
"We'll tend to Jayce... ?"
A quick elbow from Pipp brought another round of giggles. "Yes," she said in a low tone flecked with mirth. "We'll 'tend' to him."
"But not to the stylist?"
"No, I was thinking something a bit more fun. Like ..."
Pero watches the two walk off speaking in that low conspiratorial way that usually portends trouble for him as their guild leader and their friend. He Knows will rue the fact he he didn't speak up fast enough, make them help.
A weary sigh escapes him as he glances down at Riveit.
Again, he looks to the trykerettes in matching pirate hats, heads together, light laughter from one, then the other, then back down he looks to Riveit.
"You owe me one," he grumbles. "A BIG one." Then with a side glance to the stables he shakes his head and sighs, "Poor Jayce."
Startled laughter and, "Look! Its Red!" catches Pero's ears.
"From the looks of him, drunk as well."
"Let me get my axe!"
"Axe? No. Get your old white focus armor. We'll put it on him... "
"What about Jayce?
"When they waken together in the same bed and a marriage certificate signed by the Priestess..."
"Priestess? What priestess would do THAT?"
"You, silly."
More laughter fills the night.
Hurriedly Pero starts to drag the unconscious Riveit to the apartment elevator. "Look at me!" he hisses under his breath, "The Great Pero. Babysitting drunkards and imps! Now, after I toss you on the bed back out I go. I swear! Those two will be the death of me."
