Some of us have come to the conclusion that the only thing that can save Ryzom now would be the addition of the named/boss that would conquer all!

We know you know what we are referring. That's right Yubokoo!

We need the biggest, meanest, hardest hitting, mat drops that are rock'em sock'em to come from a cute, cuddly Yubo boss.

The only thing left to debate is whether Yubokoo should be small, short, and cuddly a la Yoda, or a huge giant furry ball of Godzilla style love!

Would be cool to have yuboketh, yubokin, yubokya, yubokan and yubokoo all meeting around a campfire down in PR discussing their plans for world domination! Each boss would only spawn when all the bosses are taken out in their respective lands (emergency meeting to ensure their safety or something). Be nice way to guage which bosses might be up.

(I can't believe nobody got to that one yet.)

But of whatever size, Yubokoo should definitely be presiding over a horde of ordinary Yubos. Perhaps they could spawn continuously, so in place of the "regeneration barrier" of current bosses, players would face the necessity of rapidly fragging weak targets faster than they pop? Yubokoo alone should then proceed to take names, of course.

Also, given that it's a Yubo... can you say "finishing move"? ;)

I do think it would be wonderful to have a Yubo tribal fame and to have yubos ignore or aggro players as with tribes. "House of Flying Yubos" (the virtual guild belonging to Anikin and me) would declare Yubo in a heartbeat.

The only issue is, getting Yubo fame should involve saving Yubos from predators for as near as I can tell that is their biggest challenge on Atys.
We do this anyway, and will ccontinue to do it, even though I don't see any way ,given the current mechanics, to give the effort it's due.
