Can anyone tell me who gets the Elder of Atys title?
Is it people who were in Open Beta or just FBT players?

According to the email regarding the title....
Months ago you landed on Atys in order to join The Saga of Ryzom. You were part of either Beta 1, Beta 2 and/or a Focus Beta Tester. . . If you subscribe to The Saga of Ryzom, you will have a few goodies waiting for you:
- a specific title which only you can wear: Elder of Atys

I would suspect if you did not get an email with this information then you would not get the title... and from the contents of the message it seems that only those that have been in the first 2 closed betas and/or in the FTB are to recieve the title "Elder of Atys"...

Correct but oddly enough that title is not available even under the saved character name. Any of the other FBT/Closed Testers out there able to use the Elder of Atys title?

Yep no problems. Turke is the first ever Tryker Elder of Atys.

I wonder if this is connected to the problem with upgrading accounts mentioned in another thread. I also had no problems ugrading my FBT account to a retail account.

PS Hope some of your guys/girls are playing Trykers because i'm getting lonely :)

Yeah, I can use Elder of Atys title. I joined Beta 1 although I hadn't played until public beta.

I have it available to me to use. After I've logged in and gotten into the game I hit "P" and then choose my title to be "Elder of Atys" from the list of titles to choose from. When i installed my game and registered the account I chose the "Upgrade" option and proceded to do the upgrade and what not. Everything on my end seems to be working.... with the exception of EB Games not getting my Pre-Order code to me in a timely manner.... but that's not Nevrax's fault by any means.

I got my EB preorder code in the mail today, 1 day after I got my package. I think when they changed their original shipping plans to sept 23rd they forgot to set the email to deliver earlier when the packages arrived ahead of schedule.

Anyone in Beta 1, Beta 2 or the Focus Beta should be receiving the title Elder of Atys. If you were in the Open Beta this does not include you. We hear that there have been some people who have not received these titles and we are working to correct this.

I was never invited into Beta 1 or 2 or focus :( I got into open beta a week early by invitation though. I don't know if it was my computer setup or something else but I had originally applied for this beta the year before and my original setup I submitted was probably way out of date. But hey I guess its just a label :P

I was in Beta since May, and I did get the Armlet of Atys w/ the pre-order, but I havent gotten the title, maybe later it will be available.

Well I have been in closed beta as well as in FBT. I even received an e-mail from Vince on september 1 about the Elder of Atys title. But no luck so far.

Nope, it's a case of account issues on the server side. If it were a case of not upgrading we wouldn't be posting with our closed beta accounts as they would still be locked.

Now ok, it is not a big thing but a promise is a promise. And there were promises about more extras to the ones who had this title.
So what is being done about getting the title to all people, who deserve him?

The only other thing that you receive with your Elder of Atys title is the /fbt emote. Which makes you break-dance (it's really cool too if you haven't seen it). I'm not sure as to what other promises you're referring to. Could you elaborate a bit?

It's the title that's the real issue. No one cares so much about the /fbt animation (not that having it wouldn't be nice) but the title carries some extra import. I see others running about with it and yet I can't use it myself even though it was supposed to be there.

Since then a lot has changed and a lot of positive changes are still in progress.

The Saga of Ryzom has gone all this way thanks to your early involvment and dedication.

We are more than grateful for this and it is time to show you some gratitude.

As you know by now, SoR will hit the shelves on the 16th of September in Europe and on the 20th of September in the United States.

If you subscribe to The Saga of Ryzom, you will have a few goodies waiting for you:
- a specific title which only you can wear: Elder of Atys
- a specific animation which only you can play
- keeping one of the names you had during the months of Beta


How to keep your name for release:
On Tuesday the 14th of September Open Beta will end and all shards will be closed until release which will take place 2 days later.

IMPORTANT: The name of just *one* of your existing characters will be reserved for you. In order to ensure that your favorite name is retained you should delete all other characters before the end of the Open Beta.

If you were supposed to have received the Elder of Atys title (you received the email stating so) and upgraded your beta account properly and still don't have a name, please private message me with your login name and I will contact the powers that be.

One thing to keep in mind is that the title may not show up on your existing characters :(. It may take creating another character to receive the title.

Well I am trying to send a personal message to Cerest but that is refused because my PM system is turned off. When I try to change the settings I get the message that I need approval from my parents. Now I am really far over 21 so I sent a message to the administrator to change that.

In the meantime I am Yoram and I was Yoram starting in closed beta 2. I received my invitation to take part in it on February 18 this year. As soon as my PM works message follows. Thanks for the trouble Cerest.

I was in Beta 1 and Beta 2 .. never recieved an email for Focus till it was about to end suspect my TAG email had same fate lost in GOO somewhere
I did recieve email for the last closed beta

When i installed retail client the option to upgrade Beta Account appeared as a choice AFTER the server patched me to FULL Retail client .. a little too late it seems.

The final outcome is ..No tag for Ryjak .. I preordered and delayed my entry into retail by 48 hrs waiting for a game that was on shelves in stores to get a GIFT .. the code didnt come with preorder and the first 3 codes sent via email DID not work. The 4th code was accepted by server but by then i was off noob isle and lvl 50 so I didnt get the preorder ITEM either.

If they expect me to maintain two retail accounts here I had better see an ELDER TAG before account is BILLED
