More importantly, did you have fun? The servers were remarkably stable but for a couple hiccups. We in the office had a blast, and hope everyone else did, too.
Thanks for participating, those who made the effort :)

I was both amazed and impressed with how well they recovered the event after the crash. There was a brief repop of the normal prime roots mobs, but they restored the event to it's previous stage rather quickly. While i'm sure they were hoping for a flawless run on the first event, great job on dealing with the unexpected and keeping things moving along.

It was hella fun, thanks for putting it on. I worked my butt off against those cutes and thought everyone worked together pretty well. :) I didn't even die when the server "hiccups" happened, and got right back into things.
We'll get 'em next time, I'm sure. I'll go practice!

I can say that I wasn't having much fun in this event. It's part of the reason I left early into it. The disorganization and lack of direction bothered me. I was too low level so none of my hits landed. I was having a horrible time targeting. When we won a battle, I didn't feel like I had done anything to help win it. And for most of the time I just felt I was running with the pack for no real reason.
NOW HAVING SAID THAT:
The conclusion is that major raid type events are just not something I enjoy. It doesn't mean Nevrax did anything wrong. It doesn't mean that the event wasn't awesome for many players. It doesn't mean that I think there shouldn't be any events like this. It doesn't mean that the players did anything to make me not feel involved (quite the opposite, most were very helpful in getting me involved).
So congrats to all of you who took part and completed the quest. Congrats to Nevrax for being able to pull this off. Hopefully there will be many more for players to enjoy (I'll just stick to reading about it next time :) ).
***Raynes will now get his flamesuit on as he knows what is coming. LOL

No flaming Raynes, I was there with you :D We didn't have enough high level people, they were harvesting meantime, at least a lot of them :) I could only be useful by healing people, apart from that i couldn't hit with melee/magic and I couldn't even bite because i would be dead in 1 hit :D

It's cool that you can recognize that and still enjoy the game. I am assuming you are still enjoying it, since your post didn't say otherwise. ;) I think it's great. There should be room for all different types of characters and playstyles in this game. If you want to play the guy who wants to negotiate with the Kitin and reach a treaty of "This land is our land; the prime roots is your land," rather than wipe the buggers out, more power to you! I think it brings a lot of color to the world. :)

There is no doubt I am enjoying this game. And after this there is no doubt that I find my place in the more diplomatic and non-mass combat areas of the game.
As for a treaty with the Kitin. If the devs offered the chance for players to be able to communicate with them and offer a possible non-combat solution to things, I would be first in line to accomplish that goal. I doubt that will ever happen, but you never know.

Fun abounded.... well thought out plot, nicely executed by the staff. although i think the karavan side had considerably more frustration that did the kami team. I'm usually one to make sure to point out both the good and the bad of things, and aside from the header comment of this thread i don't have much to say on the downside =D.
we did have about five minutes of panic post-reboot, as the camps we had cleared and were told were 'secure' all refilled on reboot. my 1st inquiry to the GMs as to whether we had to resecure them came back "can't give away spoilers" -- it took a few minutes to straighten that out, but there was some panic that we'd have to reclear...
a few minor wishes/questions in the roleplay dept -- (hard since both sides can compare full notes post-battle, via the forums even if we trust eachother less in game now)
but those gripes are a coupe of cents of the dollar o-full we had last night.

you never know. one wouldn't think you could have positive Kami AND Karavan faction either, especially after last night.
