I just had to post this. I just got the game yesterday but was afraid since my dial up connection is SO slow I wouldnt be able to play.
I logged in this morning and other than a bit of rubber banding I had no problems playing and I am only getting a 14.4 connection speed right now.
Yay !!!

Congrats :) Now maybe I can get my Dialup friends to play. How bad was the rubberbanding and how often was it?

Well I noticed it mostly when I would get close to a building, of course I didn't get alot of time to explore but I can live with it.
I would imagine if you have a decent connecion speed on dial up you won't have much of a problem with it.
My connection is so slow that SWB is sending a tech out this weekend to check my lines, they say I should at least be getting 28.8 minimum.

my dial up is workin the game without a hitch. rare is a rubberband, and i think i have only experienced 1 lag death. the only place you really hurt is when the game is patching. oh the agonizing wait..
but yeah, SoR=dial up friendly!
(btw, my dial-up is clocked at 24-26kbps)

Even on my 1.5Mbit ive gotten a lag death :( Thats awesome that 56kers can play tho, I honestly have a ton of friends who said they wanted to play but have 56k. This should change their minds :D
