Mount Races! Sunday 13th

Yup, Shadowweb just asked me to host some Mektoub mount races. This shall be a trial event, so we can pick up on any changes and rules we should add for future simular events.

Details:

8pm GMT (9CET) Sunday 16th January
Starts in Yrkanis (stables) - matis lands
Required - a mount and some grub for it

There will not only be a race element to the event (over a relativly safe area for a mektoub rider) but also a puzzle element, tho I shall not reveil more on either the race layout or the puzzle until the time.

I know this race requires you to be fairly well off to have a mektoub and u need to have it based in matis, but there is no rules against watching and cheering people on, and hopefully we'll try to do future races in the other lands at a later date.

The CSR team will be helping me with this event and there may be a prize or prizes for winning

Funny. There I was riding about in my fresh-from-the-stable mek mount and I was thinking "Bet they're gonna do a race event with these things"

Yep will be a Matis only event as it seems, with the mounts not TPing

I saw someone today with a fyros mek in matis, she had managed to run it from fyros to matis fairly easily apparently

Just a thought, but wouldn't somewhere that is a little less graphic heavy than Matis be better? With all the people, Matis' lagtastic greenery, and the additional graphics of the mounts, its gonna be lag city. Not a good element for a race.

Actually I find Matis the least laggy personally, besides if we can get a basic structure to this trial event we may hold races over the other lands at some point too
