How to zoom in and out ?

hey peeps,

Alright im trying the trial version. Im surprised how the game got polished since i played its beta version which at the time i found to be terrible so never even bothered to try the game at release.

Anyway so im playing some now gathering materials and crafting but what i find annoying is my char is so close to the bottom line of my screen.

Is there anyway i can zoom in and out ? I'd like to be able to put my char more to the centre of my screen but have no idea how to do this. My mouse doesnt have a mousewheel and the only camera settings i can find are the View settings. This only lets you bind keys to pan camera up and down and backward view and 2 other things but not zoom in and out.

Another question i have is is there somewhere a guide on all these gathering skills i can buy ? Gathering skills for fine materials, gather range etc. I just buy m but am not exactly sure what they do for me.

So i'd like some stuff explains on the skills explanation available for gathering, probably any other profession skill, fighting and magic etc, would be nice too.

As far as I know you can only zoom in/out with a mouse wheel, sorry.

Harvesting:
At first you'll only be able to pull basic mats, so do get fine and choice - they got better stats.
Range, 10-20m will do you fine.

Prospecting:
Using fine or choice will make the desired quality of mats pop.

The specific mats or craft mats isn't something you will have need for untill way later.

Do get care planning skills! After Q10+ sources will drop life or explode if you aren't careful. Keep an eye on how many mats you can get. If you pull say max <1.9 mats, abort when you got 1

Hi, I had a similar problem for long enough... I'm a left-hand-trackball user, the only model I find acceptable is a symmetrical model by Logitech which, of course, doesn't have a scroll wheel.

Here's my solution: Modern technology to the rescue! (*fanfare*)

Buy a €5.- USB scroll mouse, plug it in, place it somewhere handy, and voilá, scroll wheel
Plus, the occasional visitor can use the customary right-hand-mouse, or you can dual-mouse (or ist it mouse-duel?) .


PS.: If someone can point me to a left-handable trackball with a scroll wheel, don't hesitate to contact me

Just let it show the posts older then 1,2,3, month as decribed in the sticky
And you´ll find some nice Video-Tutorials on my site too.

I tried that care, couldn't combine with harvesting (that I could find, may be missing something) so when the node's health got low, I tried "healing" it but that just lost me harvesting time as the first bar keeps going down whether you're harvesting or trying to save the node....

Does the node always disapear when that first bar runs out?

Yes the first bar is a timer and will run out at the designated time
If the timer drops faster, you don't have to worry about care plans
