New In-Game Contest!!!

Dear Homins,

We are pleased to announce the beginning of our exciting and rewarding contest. It will take place in-game, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, beginning Friday January 28th at 11:00 p.m. EST and should run about a month. Over 50 high-end BFG Nvidia GeForce 6800 GT 256mb video cards, and hundreds of Ryzom caps and mouse-pads are up for grabs.

A riddle (or trivia question) will be asked in a special “Contest” channel and the first player to answer correctly will win a brand new graphics card (limit one per household). Runners-up will receive Ryzom gear. The winners for each event will be displayed on the Ryzom web site along with the correct answer. Good luck!

This isn't fair to folks like me with "Homer Simpson" syndrome... Everytime I learn something new, I forget something I used to know...

This sounds great though, glad to see lots off goodies too... I am looking forward to the start !

Cerest this is a nice thing for the community. I am really appreciative of the new incentive to find out more about Atys and the effort the Nevrax Team is making to its customers. However, 11 p.m. EST on all 3 days will mean some of my friends wont be able to participate. Wouldnt a different time for the days be fairer for those players that cant be on at 11 p.m. EST. I for one can make that time every night but would like to see this be fair for all players.

Actually we aggonized over the time for a long time. We wanted it late enough for the people in the pacific time zone to be able to play and early enough for people in the eastern time zone to play, this was the best solution we could find.

I understand Cerest but let me clarify my suggestion since I was not sure you read it correctly. I was wondering why its the same time for all 3 days. I dont see why it cant be different times on different days to make it more available to players in different time zones. I.e maybe 6 EST 8 Est 11 EST on various days.

the time is really fair for the entire US crowd, they did a good choice
personally i will be out of town on one of the nights, have the kids on the second night, and third night will be probably the only time i can particpate

no complaints here, i think this is grand that they are doing this, and i hope they do it more often.
