i really think i get more downtime without notice then playing i beleive we really should get credit for example 1 downtime without notice = 5days of credit then when it adds up to a month you get free month of credit to play and if this really happens people wont be so mad or sad they would be really happy it happend anyways this is what i think....
what do you guys think? zerOOrez (OmegaV) __________________________________________________ _______________ |

Re: more downtime then playing!!!!
I think:
1) The problems were out of Nevrax's/Jolt's control, and they had no way of predicting them (we also had problems recently, caused by optic fibre cable failure) 2) The license states that Nevrax do not guarantee uptime on it's game servers. They don't guarantee 100% uptime, not 50% uptime, not even 5% uptime. The reason for this, is the essence of your post ![]() Not the most helpful reply I know, but that's for a good reason. The only answer to your post is : MMOs and all online games suffer downtime. There are many, many factors involved, a lot of which are out of most people's control. If your ADSL/broadband isn't working, does your ISP pay you back for every hour/day it isn't on? If they do, I'd like to switch my ISP ![]() |

Most ISP's guarantee some sort of uptime and compensation for lackthereof, especially if you are a business. But as a home user, Comcast will credit my account every time there is a service outage for either their cable TV or Internet... All I have to do is call it in and b***h at how inept they are. Sounds like Nevrax needs similar b***hing, although I'm sure they'd only wish they'd be as big as Comcast... |

actually only web hosts do that, most home isp's don't say they'll be up 95% of the time, i worked for one and we never guarenteed it thing is there's more mmorpg's that have had 48 or more hours of downtime, with a sorry about your luck. so if you REALLY want to ***** about getting your money back OR a refund for that time, you're owed a whole 29 cents at the very most to figure out how it did it, (14.95/30)/24*14 but hey if you want your whole money back i'll send you the quarter for the time you lost playing the game |
