A question for the armorers

Did anyone tried a 100% Dodge Modifier Medium Armor? And a 100% Parry one?

I would like to know what's the best bonus achievable for Dodge and Parry in Medium Armors.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge

100% Dodge is the more simple to create

Excellent and supreme mix of Motega wood, Moon Resin, Gulatic (spelling) Oil, Visc Sap. However blends of other materials are needed to prevent the armour being extremely weak in certain areas.

100% Parry armours, the king of armours for a melee fighter.

Excellent & supreme Boss mobs mats.

But as with the dodge armour, focusing in one area weakens another.

Re: A question for the armorers

Sorry my question was probably not well formuled, i mean, did someone tried to make a full dodge or full parry medium armor? i want to know what's the best bonus achievable for a single piece in dodge or parry.

If you don't want to share is ok... I just have less time for play and i'm very curious..

Depends on the mats u use ive managed to get max dodge and max parry before but with the parry mod it was only parry+5 for eachpart

If thats what ur wanting to know

Max parry is +10 so i hear but never found the animals for that

Best armor for Melee is with a parry mod or if ur lvl250 like me then use max defence which is all things (Slash,Peirce,Smash) at 500+

Cheers

i tried 100% dodge as pre stats and it came up with dodge AND parry +1 (all supreme dodge mats)

Re: A question for the armorers

Can someone explain to me the wish for the parry armors above dodge? For some reason I always associate dodge with 2h fight and parry with 1h, but I could be wrong here of course...

I am confused as an armorcrafter anyway, very little happening in that area for me atm...

Dodge is those who melee but have some other skill much better and thus benefit from high dodge from that skill. Those they should use dodge mode and if they use heavy armor they want to get dodge max heavy armor (+0 i think).

When melee guy is using his highest skill, he could use either dodge or parry. However, if he uses heavy armor he can get parry bonus +1 or more with each armor piece. So he will get 6-24 (or even more) to his parry with parry armor. If he also uses shield, he get even more parry bonus.

If I am not mistaken, lvl 250 melee with heavy armor has max 250 dodge but parry with good parry equipment is something like 290.

It all depends on where you root skills lie.

Parry and dodge really, IMHO, come down to .....

If you melee you can boost you parry with weapon(s), shield, armour and skill.
If you use magic the dodge comes only from your armour (dodge on amps, never looked:P) and you skills.

If you have leveled other trees (harvest and craft) you get a potental boost to you dodge.

One thing I have been playing with is high parry light armours as its fun to experiement.

Simplest thing to do is .... equipe all you stuff press 'P' and check the numbers. Highest one is the most effective to use for that equipement (Note Melee attack after dodge/parry stanzias should also be considered)

My personal experience is Parry when in melee mode and Dodge for all other modes. Dodge is useful against magic, has be an exception to prove a rule.

Another question: So the max dodge achievable per pieche change with the materials recipe even if you have 100% in the pre craft window?
