Quick Equipping of items

Is there a way to quickly equip things? For example, I want to harvest but then all of a sudden I am attacked. Is there a quick way to equip my dagger or do I still have to open my item menu then look for the dagger then equip it?

It would be nice if you could assign items to hot keys to equip quickly on demand. Maybe there is already something that exists for that. Please let me know.

on your action/hot key bar left click on the harvest tool (you should have two semi-large icons that represent what you have equipped in each hand) and that'll bring up a list of items (including bare hands) that you can equip in your right hand... do the same for your left hand...

I'll admit that this is not as fast as using a "hot key" to do it, but it certainly is ALOT faster than digging through your inventory looking for the item and then right-clicking to equip.

Equipping armor can be quick changed in a similar fashion. Open your invetory, click on the tab marked "Equipment" and then click on each of your armor slots. That will open a short list of items you can put on for the given slot, including going nude.

Also, on the topic of the Hot-Key, the first action on the top left of the hot-key bar is basically your "default" action. So, if you put something like "Increase Damage 3" there your default attack will be "Increase Damage 3" when you double click a target (with weapons equipped of course). If you put something like "Harmful Extraction Quality 50" there then you will by default to using that skill/action when you double-click on a resource (when you have your pick equipped naturally).

Still would be nice to be able to hotkey weapon sets.
The functionality to switch hotkey bars in macros is there, would be nice to be able to use it for more than cycling through skills.

Absolutely. Connect the left and right hand boxes to each hotkey bar sheet so you could essentially have one double pane of hotkeys for combat, one double pane of hotkeys for crafting etc. Switching from my armor crafting kit to my daggers should and could be a lot easier with just a smidge of a change to the interface.
