Bog

In the south of Bog there is a large circular brown area on the map, in the middle of the forest. Spent a couple of hours down there last night trying to reach it.. there is a very long path that runs along the east side of this area but we didnt manage to find a way in.. anyone been there? Maybe it's off limits now as Jena is using it as a secret landing area for the ufo's carrying her invasion force

heh Im sure she will land in Nexus where no Kami will tred due to it being protected

If we are looking at the same thing... you are either looking at the "Chilling Swamp" in the SE corner or the hole in the forest/maze where the "Panting Pass Research Center" is located, this is the hole in the trees on west side above the grasslands in the SW (#1 on map). If what you are referring to on the map is a larger version of the three holes denoting the three outposts in HH just east of center (#11, 12, 14 on map) then this is what it is.

In either case the mazes can be a bit frustrating and some of them require you approach from directions that seemingly make no sense.

Yep, the area SW of #1 on your map.. the only path we could find that got close ran from far to the north of the area all the way to the south.. There may have been another route that we missed as it was a bit late

Chilling Swamp is a great place, most people seem to miss it out on trip's to the portal there, would recommend a visit - very nice in the autumn.

while you were down that way, did you spot any Violent Gnoofs or Violent Armas ?

I had some missions asking for chunks from those creatures, but in the areas of UB i could reach.. pretty much all the north end and down Panting Pass as far as the Gibbais, could only find the first 3 grades. ballistix indicated only 3 grades existed, so I was getting annoyed at being asked for stuff which didnt seem to exist - all set to send a ticket to GM etc.. but before I did I checked Nexus, and they were the first (non aggro) mobs I ran into

The point Im trying to make/confirm is that a couple of missions were asking for materials which dont seem to actually be present in the region.

Fairly sure there were violent gnoofs there, although the constant packs of torback and kirosta were taking up most of my attention o.O

I'll check it out for you as i think another exploration is on the cards. but cerainly there are mobs that only hang out in a specific area of a zone, so you shouldn't give up on finding them just yet Saying that it's entirely possible they are missing.. we had to wait 6 months before slaveni were patched into CoI which at last enabled the missions there to be completed -)

I have had missions where the mobs are not in the region for sure concerning Gibbai's...

AFAIK, there are at least these classes of Gibbai:
Savage
Seasoned
Veteran
Lurking
Creeping
Crabby
Belligerent
Frightening

I may have forgot some, still on first cup of coffee this AM...
