History will come to us all? (patch soonish?)

Greetings.

I have recently finished my training and am, thus, ready to prove my worth. And the timing seems just about perfect - rumours says that a new dawn is raising and the actions of Homins will, forever, be remembered throughout the world of Atys.

So have I forseen, but nevertheless the image of the future is distorted. And, therefore, I ask you, my fellow Homins: in what way will history be written? By which means and actions will our deeds form and influence our world?

ooc. Any thoughts on the coming episode 2? And how large of an impact we will actually be able to have on the future landscape? Perhaps join Kami and the Karavan with a little romance between Ma-Duk and Jena?

I do believe that the short future holds some interesting changes, be they good or bad comes down to the homins being ready the challenge.
One thing is certain Atys will change one way or another, homins just have to choose wisely on the paths laid out.
Even small changes add up to a larger momentum, if one can percieve the connections.
One could speculate on a time frame, so for one estimate I say within two, to three at the most, months.
In the end, only time will reveal what is to become.

Yeah. And if Nevrax could cobble together a half decent story then we would not have to wonder. We are expected to write the friggin story in the Ryzom ring.

Alyssah, first of all understand that this is not a personal attack but rather an thought or observation: Some gripe that we don't truly impact the direction of the game in our game play. This seems a way to "write" the direction the game is going thus impacting its direction. Just a thought.

Ozzy - you seemed to have missed my point. We are paying Nevrax for the game & the promised content. We are not contracted to write it (play a part in it, yes) nor will we see a cent for any contribution.

I don't have the skill or imagination to add content (oops!) with the 'Ring'. So I'll end up with content (oops! again) similar to player created add ons in all the other games I've played (like Morrowind, Fallout, C&C etc). These were almost all buggy, crappy & monuments to the creator.

The best part of this game is the community. Nevrax did not write that either.
