Hiya everyone,

Just wanted to make a quick post while I'm downloading the Trial. I'm (dare I say it) an exile from SWG, looking for a new game to captivate me and immerse me....and most of all meet some new wonderful people!

I'm a terror on the boards - I tend to write looooong long posts, but I'll try to behave, at least for the next 7 days. hehehe

Anyway, I have a lot of reading to do in the next couple hours while I download. I have *no* clue where to even start with this game (I haven't been here to the site since it was still in closed beta).

Hope to get to "know" you all soon!

See? Here I go already! LOL

Just a quick question: Up in the top right corner it says: "You last visited: January 1st,m 1970 at 1:00am". Now....I'm pretty sure I wasn't here when I was 8 yrs old, so could any of you kind people tell me how to reset the site date/time to my actual present?

As for the date, lol, it'll probably set itself right when it has a real last-visited date to display.

I keep trying to pull myself away from the forum to actually go read through the site so I can have an idea what choices I should make while creating my first char - but sheesh I'm such a forum junkee! lol

January 1st, 1970 is the date that most (unix?) computer systems start counting dates. They count seconds since that date. So you should see another date there, if you log into the forum a day later.

Yeah, I played the trial about 7 months ago and really enjoyed it. But I started playing ffxi again, which was my first mmorpg. I'm looking for a new mmo, so far SoR seems like the one I want to play. I've tried out EQ2 and WoW, but I didn't really like them b/c they were too much fantasy. As in all the typical fantasy creatures and beings, I get tired of it.

When I get a new pc I'm going to start playing this, I can't wait ^_^
