I Want A "saga Of Ryzom" Movie -- Now!!! :)

I am very impressed by this video clip featuring a Ryzom battle vs Kitins:

I think a "Saga of Ryzom" movie would be very successful. Many movies have been made about lesser computer and online games -- why not a live-action movie on a superior online game, "Saga of Ryzom".

Today's CGI technology would make it possible to portray the Kitins, battles vs. Kitins, and all the incredible creatures and landscapes of Atys.

The theme of the four Homin races uniting against a common enemy would be very inspirational.

Since Nevrax invented the "Saga of Ryzom" universe no fees to authors or author's estates would be necessary (as in Narnia and LOTR). Such a film would open vast merchandising possibilies, and give tremendous publicity to this great game!

At present my imagination is busy imagining who could be the actors, actresses, director, screenplay writer, and special effects creators for a "Saga of Ryzom" film.

The only problem with an SoR movie is that it'd have to give away story plot. Story we may not know about yet. Story they may not want to share yet.

Besides, I personally don't think an MMO is a good subject for a movie. It changes too much.

A movie version of story that's already occurred wouldn't give anything away and wouldn't change; it's already happened. Or a movie about the older days before the players got here as backstory.

I don't think its an bad idea, however there is an problem...
who is going to pay the movie, not to mention the advertations so there will actuly someone go to the movie. I mean there arn't _that_ many people that know about ryzom so why whould they go to the movie?
I whould realy like an ryzom movie but I doubt there will come one.

I agree here. It would be awesome to see a movie based off of Ryzom, but if it were to be a rather sucessful video with CGI to make the kitin etc not seem like moving sticks, then it would become rather costly. There is the equipment, cast, crew, locations, rent (offices), food, props, etc. The list is actually quite huge. I've been in film school for two years here in the states, and unless someone wants to settle for an amature film, I don't think its going to happen, if at all. After all, Nexrax was still having somewhat of a financial trouble last I heard, and don't have a few million USD hanging around. :-\ Unless someone is willing to donate it
