Resources from other regions

Why is it Fyros cannot use resources from say the jungle? I can understand not letting other races use others gear somewhat, but resources I dont understand. It would bring us to new regions to harvest, but now I find out that im stuck to either prime roots or desert to harvest (sure I can harvest in jungle but not being able to use the resources makes that worthless). Is there a major reason this was done? I cant think of any really good reasons for this myself.

Actually, I was doing some thinking on this, and it does make sense. As a Fyros you can use the other regions materials to make things. however, you can't make Fyros pattern equipment with them. Likewise, Trykers can't use Desert materials to make their equipment.

Look at it this way... a scuplter from the mountains knows how to use granite to make a statue, while a sculpture from the lowlands knows how to use marble. They can both make comparable statues. However, if given the other's materials, and no training, they'd quickly destroy the chunks of rock.

So, that is why you can learn to make other races equipment. However, all isn't lost. Just because you can't use the materials yourself, doesn't mean that there isnt' people out there who will gladly pay you for good materials.

Yea, but I would rather not harvest just to sell mats, I harvest to craft. So basically for almost everyone is pointless to harvest anywere but your homelands and prime roots.

Because you have to learn how those races use them. Before they messed all the mats around for each region, Matis just used plants for their armor. Tryker used shell and other beach materials. They have different items, and they use different items to use them.

Now when you get craft start for the other races I don't know for sure how it works.
