Next patches should follow quicker and situations where you see no new content for months shouldn't happen anymore. In return, these patches will be smaller but come more often.

Well I guess thats better, y'know, as opposed to small patches that don't turn up at all.
Anywho, it's nice to have some news. I'm glad the Kitin lair hasn't been dropped, still a shame it's some time away though.

Thanks and keep us up to date. =)

Slow does it, patience is a virtue i guess, well we all need one because Gameforge are being perfectionists. Which in the end will probally turn out well, but for the old players this news is bad.

No new content for at least half a year. I really suggest changing the development line, the dates and times are wrong on it.

Also no mention of spires, yet again.

Re: New Q&A Posted

Personally, i agree with this plans. I first prefer looking more new players around than new content for just few veterans.

There is time to do many things and new content, but GF sure cannot invest forever, so put more people in first.

With more people in game GF can balance better the funds and everyone, new and old players, will benefit.

What I ask GF is not to turn Ryzom in a too easy game and lose what the game is now speaking of feeling and community (and the lore).
We (or me, but i think whole players agree with this) don't want Ryzom turning in another clone of <insertworstmmoeverreleasedonthemarkethere>
Normally who creates a new kind of game is a dreamer and I hope GF got the same dream of Nevrax (with better management).

Personally i think Spires, as it was presented, reduces the PvE content and it's not good at all. The general idea of towers is good, tho, but more thinking is needed around it to find a good compromise between PvE and PvP content, not everyone is PvP-centric.

Just my 2 dappers

Re: New Q&A Posted

I thank you Marjo for posting this. It is about what I expected, nothing really new. BUT, it is nice to hear.
I appreciate that GF is trying to simply set the game up for future success by building the playerbase and making the game easier to patch, etc. I can also see how players can become tired of the waiting game, and will un-sub.
The greatest thing in a situation like this, (in my opinion) are the player ran and GF ran events. I LOVE these, as do many other Homins (I think). They must be cheap to do, and add such depth to the existing game that I really believe you could almost just have events every week or two weeks and players would never be bored. (As long as the vents are varied!)
Either way, good job..keep up the fight and I wish the best. I'll stay subbed, and am looking to the future!

One player from the French forums made a "ask your question and I will summarize for GF" post. That is where they are coming from

Re: New Q&A Posted

When will the one-handed weapon patch will be released ?
When will the range weapon patch will be released ?
When will the new area patch will be released ?

Just as remark, I don't give a damn about improving the patch system, that is being improved for... approximately 3 years...

see there what has been announced to your cutomers : http://www.ryzom.com/development/in-...ns-statistics/

and here :

A year ago I would've agreed and told them to put their main focus on providing more tools for creating those event, but nowadays we have those completely unused Ring terminals sitting outside our cities.
