Advertising a call to the community
I know there are couple of threads about how we all heard about the game and such. But I am making a call to all the players for this time around to help advertise. The best form of advertisement is that of word of mouth. If we want this game to last longer then the previous 2 attempts we need to as a community pull together and help advertise the site and game. Just because Neverax and Gamecrap never did a great job or even attempted to advertise doesn't mean we are not at fault as well.
I look at this community and find one of the only MMO's that people are willing to help and regardless of faction or alliance at some point we all play together for fun. Now my call to action for all of you is to come up with way to advertise this game when it comes back. By all of us working to advertise the game it will do much more then any budget that the owners could even think about. If we want Ryzom to stay this time it is up to us as well! As stated before simply raising the sub fee isn't going to help with the lost members. We also need to show that the game is awesome since it has had rough media attention for the last 2 liquidations. Some ideas... Write a blog, add a link to a link database for game sites you frequent, write a review for a site. These are just some ideas. Here is a link from Acridiel that has lots of good information. --- thx ***Please don't spam sites the last thing we want is for people to think that the community is full of spammers!*** Here are the Webkits I got. -- thanks Acridiel http://www.nws-productions.de/DLs/webkit_20050323.zip http://www.nws-productions.de/DLs/webkit_20060927.zip here are some custom banners for "signature advertisement" -- thx bierdose http://img353.imageshack.us/img353/7...banner2pr7.png http://img353.imageshack.us/img353/7...banner3im3.png http://img353.imageshack.us/img353/2...banner4zp3.png http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/7...banner1fv9.png Last edited by uberzone : July 8th, 2008 at 11:30 PM. Already sent an email to MMORPG.com to have them look at it to possibly make a story/article on this. I got a reply saying it was sent to the director or something. So in my opinion, there might be something coming from there end.
Think about it, how many games do you know that died twice to come back alive on each time ? That's gota be an interesting story to read. Besides, when people will read about it, it will give them a message : the Ryzom community cares and wants it back !!!! |

Oh and one small suggestions:
change all your signatures in every single forums you guys visit and include in it something to make the readers want to play Ryzom !!! |

I dun know if anyone has already done this or not but, one way we all could advertize is by placing links and banners or even just are on our home pages or myspace or whatever you have. Now i would like to make my myspace page compleatly dedicated to ryzom but i am pretty dumb when it comes to web coding and crap. So i was hoping someone could help me and send a link or somthing that has abunch of stuff ready to but put to use on myspace.

Re: Advertising a call to the community
Neverax did a good job of providing all pictures and stuff for websites. However they never gave any banners. (That i know of) I would like to put some up on the various sites that I run. So maybe someone more artistically blessed could make some up for the community to display.
