A message from Trixie...Trixiez...Seiren

Hello Everyone!

First I want to express how happy I am to be back in Ryzom. I’m looking forward to see what the new owners will add to Ryzom. While the mystery of who they are is question number one, from my point of view, as long as they keep doing things right I don’t care who they turn out to be. I’ve been reading the forum daily and there are great suggestions to ponder upon and hopefully the developers will read the suggestions and give us all some nice surprises.

Now, to the real reason behind this post; some of us coming back have had problems with our names. After the merge of Cho with Arispotle some of us carry a (Z) at the end of our names. At first I had no idea that Trixiez was actually me, even when I saw the name in the Siren guild roster I thought it was someone’s alt, or the usual fill-in to promote HO ranks. Turns out it was my character after all. I won’t go into details about how I feel about the lost of my main character’s name to someone else. Suffice to say that I’ve moved on from being upset and accepted a name change.

Friends who know me and had me on their contact list will now see Seiren where Trixiez used to be. Friends who never had me on their contact list shame on you. (Taps foot), you can now PM me as Seiren. And if you don’t know me at all feel free to add me anyway (smiles warmly) I enjoy meeting new homins and making more friends.

Furthermore, the Siren’s of Atys is no longer an active guild. From now on the Sirens will be seen as an NPC tribe inside my ring scenarios. I made the decision considering that the original sisters moved on to other guilds, returned to play their main characters, and others are playing other games. I already lost the name of my main character; I could not bear to loose the guild I started and see others running around with the guild’s name if I wasn’t leading it. The best decision was for me to close it and move on.

Since I’m starting new then I must have a new guild and a new look. I decided to change my character's appearance and switch to Neutrality. I want to say thank you to all who offered guild invites, it was hard to pick one because Atys is home to many great guilds and individuals. Picking the right guild to mach my game style was not easy. I actually had to jump around with alts until I found the right one. Some don’t even know it’s me, so if you had a new member join your guild and suddenly is no longer active *raises hand* probably it was me.

Finally because I can’t post on the forum I’ve had to rely on a member of House Etchmarc to relay this message to my friends. Remember that if you see a Trixie running around in Arispotle it isn’t the original Trixie, the one that’s been here since 2004. She is not the Queen of Melons, nor The Siren of Atys, and most importantly she isn’t the Trixie featured on the Siren comic books. Now, just because she isn’t the Trixie most of you know doesn’t mean new Trixie isn’t a nice person and we should hate her, I’m sure she is a great player and will be a fine addition to Arispotle however she is portrayed. I hope to meet her one day my self and add her to my contact list. Simply make note that the original Trixie from Arispotle is now Seiren, member of House Etchmarc.

Aww To lose your name like that! *sniffs* that is harsh. We should all bulk-PM the new Trixie and get her to ...well stick a "Z" on the end or smthg ...

Trix, im sure the evil GMs will help you out if you ever wanted the name back, please dont seclude yourself to the ring, although i dont know you that well, it always brings a smile to my face when i see a siren in FH
