The trykers are on steroids!

So I was saying g'night in gc, very early this morning, when a fyrosian guildie stopped me with "NONONO wait, Nysh, why am I the same height as the trykers?!"
I expected to discover that she'd broken her display settings, and hoped to find a little Zed all squidged up and made short so that I could gigglefit and take screenies.

What I didn't expect was this... the difference isn't much, in fact I wasn't entirely convinced that I didn't just see what Zed had told me I would see. But a CSR confirmed it for us... the trykers have been drinking MiracleGro!

btw, trykers, where's the new Saruman boss??

Well, didn´t you notice that all of the Ring Technicians and "Observers" are a wheee bit taller than average for their race, in fact taller than the tallest possible in character creation?
It´s been like this for quite some time now.

It's the other ones too - the NPCs, at least. It's just that the technician is the only one who stood still long enough for me to get an SS

Ah, I remember blinking when I first noticed this too , for me that was while placing NPCs in a Ring scenario - Turns out the actual height difference between Tryker and Fyros isn't all that much, and female Fyros are about the same height as male Tryker, as seen in that shot. Female Matis in turn are about the same hight as male Fyros too. It's only the step-up to the tallest race that's a big step, with female Zoraï towering over male Matis.

The Kitin Observers and Marauder bosses are the only NPCs that are taller than is natural. I do believe every other NPC has their height set to the maximum though (except the male Matis ones seem to have it on mimimum for some reason...). So a Fyra PC with height in the lower regions -would- actually be smaller than the male Tryker NPCs.

Say, does that open you up as a viable target for the short jokes?
