Anyone else experiencing this nice pop up box way too often, then end up sitting there not being able to move or anything?
I think it means I have lost connection to the server, but I get it about 10 minutes into play. I have to leave the game and come back in for anything to respond. |

Re: Please Wait....
hm the infamous router bug is back
Do you have a linksys router and is the number/letter thing BEFW#### (don't remember the numbers)? If so you have to mess with the port triggering...this was a problem that was in beta as well and there were some guides up to help fix it...don't remember how exactly to do it though but hopefully someone else does ![]() |

Re: Please Wait....
well... I think the "simplest" way to do that is to set your gaming PC as the "DMZ Host" through the router's config (http://192.168.0.1), but this method opens your PC up to the internet completely. The safest way to correct it is to open up just the ports that Ryzom uses .... I'm not sure what those are atm... I'd have to go into "premiscuous mode" on my Linux box to find out....
According to this site it looks like Ryzom is using TCP port 80 (web browsing), TCP port 25 (smtp email), and UDP port 47851. The first two ports should already be open on the router as they are essential to web browsing and email, but the last one may need to be manually opened... I don't know how accurate this information is as I haven't checked it. Maybe Bridgette/Satchi, one of the other Community Managers, or a Dev can hop in and confirm what needs to be opened up on your router to resolve the issue? |

Re: Please Wait....
Hmm... I'm having the same problem and I also have a Linksys router. I updated my firmware about 4 months ago. Is there a newer version? I guess I could check myself. :-)
But I would like to know the official port information so that I could try opening them up instead. |

If your having problems connecting or staying connected, try forwarding these ports in your router. 1000-3000 (TCP) and 47851 (UDP). Related forum thread : http://www.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=631 ![]() |
