Dodge/Parry

Whats the difference between these too, both seem to do their job decently.

I do have a skill that lets me attack after i dodge, but i have to press the button manually when it lights up. Is their one for Parry?

Just wondered what stats these two are based off

Re: Dodge/Parry

There's an equivalent for parry too, yes. The difference is, believe it or not, that you use attack after dodge after a successful dodge and attack after parry after a successful parry.

Stats? You dodge or parry and the button will lit up, simple as that. Or then I just didn't understand the question ;) If the in-game stanza description is still the same as it was when I last time checked, it should enable you to double your damage while acting as a credit too. But: as the attack after x stanza is already a good way to credit your actions it just can't utilize the same potential as increase damage, that wouldn't be right. That is, if the in-game description for the stanza still exists. Don't know about the current state of it.

Attack after Dodge/Parry/Critical no longer do double damage.

btw If you want to change between dodge and parry, you can do so via the pad or use the icon.

Well, they really shouldn't. As in, they are already quite powerful way to cut down the credit cost, so given that fact they shouldn't do what increase damage does anymore. You've verified this?

I'm not sure, but to this day I have only seen my modifiers in weapon/armor info window being +0 and nothing else. But true regardless, not sure that is it been implemented yet that is (as you know how bugged my char was during the last ob..).

Why do you think that they shouldnt do up to double damage ? Dont forget that they only activate after a successful dodge/parry/critical, so arent on all the time. Plus, there are upgrades to each, which cost Skill Points and they have a "recomended" level also.
Yes i have verified them. A weapon that has, say, a max damage of 125 will hit for up to 250 when used with the correct (recommended) "attack after..." stanza.

Because they already act as credits. I mean, you don't have to use increase damage there as it does that too plus you don't even have to worry about stamina or hp credits because it replaces them, at least partially (depending on the stanzas), too.

Kinda silly and too powerful if you ask me. And yes, even though they only activate after a successful parry/dodge/critical. I was more than happy that they credited your actions, but to replace increase damage as well? I don't care if it's only a plus if it's too powerful.

(my point is invalid if there has been changes made during the launch, about the crediting properties)

Re: Dodge/Parry

So when using these skills (attack after dodge/parry/crit) has it been determined that they work as seperate buttons on the Hands menu, they are incorporated in a stanza, or both?

I still dont see your point here, excuse my being a bit dense. The whole point of these stanzas is to give a credit for your actions, else there would be no reason in having them at all. What actions could they credit otherwise ? The default ? Have you actually played a fighter, used increase damage, and seen your stamina drop rapidly ? A "free" hit every now and then is not the big deal you seem to be making it out to be, especially as you have to spend skill points on the stanzas as i mentioned before. Ive read and reread what you wrote, and i still dont understand your objections.

Yes, they are separate buttons on your hands bar, that only activate (light up) after a successful dodge/parry/critical. The actions can be edited to your preference, as per all the other actions. I have 4 fight action buttons on my hands bar, namely default and increase damage (which are permanently lit when holding a weapon) and also attack after dodge and attack after critical hit, which light up separately/independantly whenever i dodge or make a critical hit, both of which i have customised.
