No longer an idea, this event will take place on Saturday the 18th at 2 PM EST. We will meet in the Matis Arena.

Do you like to get down and dirty? Are you tired of those fancy "Gladiator Series"? Then come on down to the Matis Arena at 2 PM on Saturday, the 18th. When the GMs say go, start whacking the crap out of everyone! If you are the last standing, you win! Your level grouping is determined by your highest melee level.
There's only one rule: No magic.
Level groups:
0-50
50-100
100-150
150-200
200-250

Hope to see you there!

oh i like it! BUT, time this on a weekend on friday or saturday! I for one live in Japan

I would actually like to participate in one of these events in my life time...thanks

Last event, Gladiator Matis, was horrible time...monday morning for me... But if I am the only one that has a problem with the time, then just forgot I posted this...

I agree that it should be seperated by level but it should be no holds barred, since it's a free for all and all...If one skill dominates another (for example IF magic was only half as powerful as fight) adjust required skills accordingly. Match people up by their most powerful skill...I think this is a GREAT idea!

Sk8rss, my problem with that was that Ele at level 100 or more is WAY more powerful than melee at the same level. Also, I don't think healing should be allowed; that creates groups of 3 or 4 that NEVER die. Along with that, all affl spells make you stop. Anyway, here are the final sets of rules:

1) No magic (this'll be a test run here).
2) Level group is determined by highest melee level.

Level Groups:
0-50
50-100
100-150
150-200
200-250

Time: Saturday at 2:00 EST Matis Arena

A great time was had by all, and since we all had such fun, we will be having another event! This event will be on January 8th, 2005 at the Matis Arena. See you there!
