(In Game)

Dear officers, high officers and Guild Leaders,

I Azal of Abyss Eye would like to start a montly meeting of all guilds.
This inisiative could be used to clear differences and make a step towards solving hostility's and eventualy be a ground of discussion. Here we sould be abel to organise the defence of ower beloved Atis against raides, invasions and other desasters treatening ower world.

Ower differences must be cast aside on this day. We will gather in a spirit of Homin not a racial/factional manner. Kittens dont make a coise where you ar zorai, matis, tryker or fyros thy will destroi us.

Furst:
The order of the meeting will be the excainge of information conserning kitten movment and deploiment of troops.

Second:
We must look for generals. Theze must inform the guildleaders and ask help when neaded. This will assure that you will never have to fight alone. This will also give the homins and guild leaders a contact where they can always ask information and status of conflicts. I propose 4 generals becos we have 4 continents. eatsh general must be a verry wel traveld person and skild in the arts of war and command.

therd:
Resolve conflicts and signe peace treatys.

This is a proposition that could mean the securety of ower plannet and all who live on it.

(out game)

Maby we can also use this to resolve conflicts and petition bugs and exploits. Personal problems with players can be descust also so you dont have to post it on the forums and have a more direct way of solving it in a orderly fachion way. If nevrax wants they can send a head GM to take note of ower complaints. Becos in fact you guild leaders and officers ar the furst to hear about bugs and exploits.

For me it would deffenetly be a step touwards active enhansment of ower server and ower game.

Ok i think i'm done now so its up to you if you think it would be worth while

Kinde regards to all the guild leaders,

.

so do you have a meeting time place and day for this.

if you do it. it would be wise to have this meeting on a different continent every time. you would also need one or two people to lead the debate.

but it does sound interesting.

Assuming you are aware of the Grand Alliance (See my sig) you will know that this can work on a small scale, and I'm sure it can work on this large scale too, as long as you have some strict rules & guidlines.

Personally I always wanted the Grand Alliance to include guilds from all races, but the current official position is that we are only accepting Fyros-based guilds (though I think there was talk of considering other races in the future), so unfortunately my "dream" was not fulfilled.

I see some promise in your suggestion, so I'm more than happy to help out. Just send me a /tell spriteh ingame :)

That would be the plan,

Every nation will host a meting. Starting with Fyros. I also propose to keep this meeting on a sunday as i knowe menny of you will have to work on monday we keep it at 20.00 till 21.00 London time every furst sunday of the month.

When there is an invasion the generals will call upon a guild meeting and there will be discust what war effords the guilds must offer.

This furst meeting will be the most important becos we will have to elect ower 4 generals. And agree on the fact that they ar the suppream command when there ar sirius trobbels.

Every guild that shows up on sunday will hava a vote and a voice.

All officers High officers and Guild leaders will be admited. members can come to a meeting but will have no right to speak unles there guildleader/officer asks permission to the counsel of guilds so he/she can speak.

The issues of guild leader meetings and and generals has come up before. Guild leader meetings were rejected due to large amounts of guilds, and the organisation required (for 1 all leaders need to meet in 1 place) isnt worth it for the results.

Generals rejected because the generals would have to please everyone which is difficult, and you can never ensure you have one online when invasion strikes.

And still this gets stickied :-/

On the actual subject though, one idea I toyed with was getting each race to elect one or more representatives and send them to "council meetings". Of course then you get the problem of all the people in a race having to vote for someone, having to collate the votes (the americans have shown us how difficult this can be ;) ), and then trying to make sure that no-one complains "I didn't vote for this guy, make someone else the representative" (but then when is the govt. rep ever the person who *everyone* voted for?). This would be instead of making it guild-oriented; there are some people in the game who are not interested in guild-play, no matter how much Nevrax seem to force it on them :P

It would actualy be fun to do a meeting like that. talk about diferent stuf tray to involve ppl in whats happening. Same with invasions. Noboddy informes the ppl. Yes i knowe nevrax dident give you enoug information but in a serten way i think that the guild meting would have solved the problem mutsh faster. Even a continental would be ok. Fyros guilds gather and talk just talk and maby a duel or 2 to set some . one the I.

If its anounst 2 weaks bifor it happens and we ar abel to set a good time frame we can do it.

This is moving into the realm of a government formed from players. I remember the idea being talked about months ago. Its one of those things thats a nice idea, and for once *doesnt* have to be guild based. The issue of course is that with any democracy you have a large minority of the population who didnt vote for the leaders, and so are going to be at best ambivalent to their views and wishes.

An alternative would be as Azal has been talking about having proportional representation, ie a council would be formed by 1 or more represntatives from each guild (depending on member numbers) and then an equal number of representatives from the unguilded population. Trouble is it would end up just like the UN, a nightmare to organise getting all these ppl in one place at the same time, and then actually agreeing on anyting!

Probably something thats easier to manage on a forum =)

Thing is ppl say that menny cant come becos of time/hunts well i have to say that in ower smal guild at least 2 offcers ar on 24/7

Think i'm going to take the chalenge and organise one for zorai guilds and zorai ppl. Good stres test if nevrax is smart :)
